Best MLB World Series prop bets today: Adolis Garcia, Ketel Marte highlight top Game 1 picks image

The 2023 World Series begins Friday night in Texans, as the Rangers host the Diamondbacks in Game 1 of the Fall Classic. Although this year's World Series matchup is one that few expected in the offseason -- and even at the beginning of the postseason -- both clubs are worthy of the moment.

Searching for actionable props to make Game 1 of the World Series a bit more intriguing? Head over to SuperDraft to craft your favorite player prop parlay(s).

SuperDraft users can win 3X the amount wagered if their two-legged player prop parlay hits. Consequently, the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes, but as the long odds indicate, completing a clean sweep is challenging. If you were to put down a $20 entry fee and all four of our props below hit, you'd get a $200 payout.

Below, we'll break down four of our favorite player props on SuperDraft for Game 1 of the World Series. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through.

*10x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks

1. Adolis Garcia, RF, Rangers - OVER 6.5 fantasy hitting points

Garcia enters the Fall Classic as the Rangers' hottest hitter, going 10-for-28 with five home runs and 15 RBIs en route to claiming ALCS MVP honors, so it's only fitting to bet on him to maintain his torrid stretch.

He's yet to record a hit off Diamondback's ace Zac Gallen (0-for-5, two Ks), but the sample size is too small for us to believe that will affect their head-to-head bouts in Game 1. Gallen hasn't been effective this postseason, sporting a lackluster 5.24 ERA, allowing 13 runs on 24 hits in 22.1 innings of work. Back Garcia to keep things rolling into Game 1.

For those curious about the exact fantasy point scoring rules for hitters, here's a look at SuperDraft's MLB scoring breakdown:

Hitting Stats Pts Per
Singles 2
Doubles 4
Triples 6
Home Runs 8
RBIs 2
Runs 2
Hitter Walks 2
Stolen Bases 3
Hit by Pitch 2

2. Ketel Marte, 2B, Diamondbacks - OVER 0.5 singles

While Marte hasn't had the power surge like Garcia, he set an MLB record for the longest hitting streak to begin a postseason career (16 games). Despite Marte's stock at its ceiling price amid a 16-game hitting streak, we're hopping aboard the hype train and backing Arizona's No. 2 hitter to extend his streak to 17 games with at least one single.

Although Marte's first three at-bats in Game 7 of the NLCS were strikeouts as he struggled to pick up the baseball off lefthander Ranger Suarez, the switch-hitting middle infielder should fare better from the left side of the plate against Texas' Nathan Eovaldi.

3. Jonah Heim, C, Rangers - UNDER 0.5 singles

Like Garcia, Heim's yet to record a hit off Gallen, going 0-for-8 with six strikeouts. While we like Garcia to have better fortune off Gallen, who's not in great form, we do think Gallen continues his dominance over Heim. This season, Gallen sports a respectable 25.8-percent K-rate against lefthanders, and we believe Gallen could rack up a couple more Ks on Friday night.

4. Lourdes Gurriel Jr., LF, Diamondbacks - OVER 5 fantasy hitting points

Considering Gurriel owns a career .389/.450/.722 slash line in 18 at-bats against Rangers' starter Nathan Eovaldi, we'll take a chance on the former Blue Jay continuing his success against a fellow ex-AL East rival. Gurriel's feasted off Eovaldi's breaking stuff, with his two career home runs off Eovaldi via breaking balls.

That might deter Eovaldi from utilizing his slider and curveball against him. However, with hitters whiffing at only 18.3 percent of his heaters (his second-lowest whiff rate among his five-pitch arsenal), Gurriel could be just as successful against his fastball.
