Best MLB prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Thursday 7/27 image

While MLB DFS players only have a condensed three-game Thursday night slate to work with, valuable props do exist on SuperDraft. Users who sign up for SuperDraft can pick their favorite over/unders via SuperDraft's Fantasy Props feature, bringing them closer to the action while having a chance to win cash prizes.

SuperDraft users can win 3X the amount wagered if their two-legged player prop parlay hits. Consequently, the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes, but as the long odds indicate, completing a clean sweep is challenging.

Below, we'll break down four of our favorite player props on SuperDraft for Thursday night's four-game MLB slate. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through.

Best MLB prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Thursday 7/27

*10x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks

1. Dylan Cease, SP, White Sox vs. Guardians - OVER 5 strikeouts (discount pick)

Although Cease draws a challenging matchup against a Guardians bunch boasting the lowest K rate this season (18.3 percent), we're backing the righthander to eclipse five strikeouts with SuperDraft discounting his K prop from six to five. Cease hasn't exactly fared well in the strikeout department in two starts against Cleveland this season, totaling six strikeouts in 12.1 innings, but is amid his best strikeout stretch of the season.

Cease is averaging over eight Ks per start over his past seven outings and ranks in the 79th percentile in K rate this season (28 percent), so we're hoping the third time's the charm against the Guardians. We can't pass up getting a better price relative to the rest of the prop market, so while the matchup's challenging, the odds are in our favor.

2. Nolan Arenado, 3B, Cardinals vs. Cubs - OVER 1.5 bases

Arenado's fared well in his previous head-to-head matchups against Cubs southpaw Justin Steele, recording a .286 average with a .762 OPS in 14 career at-bats. Arenado's in a solid spot to record two-plus bases via hits in tonight's series opener against the Northsiders, with the superstar third baseman raking at Busch Stadium this season (.326 average, .921 OPS).

It will be hot and humid with winds blowing out to left field in St. Louis tonight, so conditions will favor the hitters. After a slow start to the year, Arenado is hitting .319 and slugging .637 over the past month, a good sign for his prospects of totaling two-plus bases tonight.

3. Tanner Bibee, SP, Guardians @ White Sox - OVER 6 strikeouts

We expect a pitcher's duel at Guaranteed Rate Field tonight, so we're backing Guardians' righthander Tanner Bibee to also go OVER his strikeout total of six. Bibee remains one of the more underrated arms in the game, entering Thursday's start going OVER six Ks in three of his past five outings (including one push). Bibee's yet to face the White Sox in his career, which should play in his favor the first time through the order,

The Sox offense ranks below the league average in K rate this season (23.7 percent), and with Bibee completing six full innings in his past two starts, another deep outing puts him in a solid spot to total seven-plus Ks.

4. Bo Naylor, C, Guardians @ White Sox - UNDER 0.5 bases

Since we're backing Cease to have his way against the Guardians' offense, we don't think Naylor totals a hit in tonight's contest. Naylor's gone OVER 0.5 bases in just two of his past six contests, owning a .211 batting average entering Thursday's series opener.

Naylor's 28.6-percent K rate this season makes it likely that he's one of the victims of a Cease punchout, and with the switch-hitting catcher batting toward the bottom of the order, there's a chance he only records three at-bats, boosting our chances to winning this prop.
