Best MLB prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Monday 8/7 image

MLB DFS players have a jam-packed 11-game slate to craft their SuperDraft player props from on Monday night. Users who sign up for SuperDraft can pick their favorite over/unders via SuperDraft's Fantasy Props feature, bringing them closer to the action while having a chance to win cash prizes.

SuperDraft users can win 3X the amount wagered if their two-legged player prop parlay hits. Consequently, the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes, but as the long odds indicate, completing a clean sweep is challenging.

Below, we'll break down four of our favorite player props on SuperDraft for Monday night's MLB slate. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through.

*10x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks

1. Alec Bohm, 1B, Phillies vs. Nationals - OVER 1.5 bases

Since moving up to the two-hole, Bohm's been the most consistent bat in the Phillies lineup over the past week, hitting .414 with 12 hits in his past 29 at-bats. Although he failed to go OVER 1.5 bases via hits in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Royals, Bohm's gone OVER 1.5 bases in three of his past five games and draws a plus-matchup against the contact-heavy Trevor Williams tonight.

Bohm has just one hit in six previous appearances against Williams, but considering Williams yields an OPS of .823 against righties this season, we expect Bohm to have the upper hand in their head-to-head battles tonight. Williams' inability to generate swings and misses plays into Bohm's hands, as the veteran hurler sits in just the ninth percentile in K rate (16.4 percent) and the eighth percentile in whiff rate (19%). Back Bohm to continue his hot stretch at the plate with two-plus total bases in tonight's series opener.

2. Kodai Senga, SP, Mets vs. Cubs - OVER 6 strikeouts

Senga makes his second career start against the Cubs after working five innings and striking out six on May 24 at Wrigley Field. We think Senga records seven-plus Ks this time around now, especially when considering he's fared much better on the Citi Field mound. Senga's held opposing hitters to a .171 batting average at home this season, striking out 71 hitters in 56.1 innings, good for a 2.40 ERA.

Unlike his first start against the Cubs in late May, with Senga significantly cutting down his walk rate over the past two months, there's a chance we see him work deep into tonight's contest, increasing his chances of punching out seven-plus Chicago hitters. Senga's gone OVER six strikeouts in three of his four past home starts, and with the Cubs ranking within the top half of the league in K rate (23.3 percent), he's in a solid spot to reach seven-plus Ks.

3. Gerrit Cole, SP, Yankees @ White Sox - OVER 7 strikeouts

In 91 career plate appearances against current White Sox hitters, Cole owns a respectable 28.6-percent K rate, which could lead to another strong night in the strikeout department. Chicago's also been one of the least disciplined units, owning the highest chase rate (33. percent) while whiffing at the fourth-highest clip (28.1 percent).

Although the Yankees' playoff hopes are dwindling, Cole still gives them a fighting chance to win every fifth day, winning 16 of the 23 games he's started this season. Cole's also gone OVER seven Ks in five of his past nine starts (including one push), and against the strikeout-heavy Sox, we think he could potentially reach double-digit Ks tonight.

4. Shohei Ohtani, DH, Angels vs. Giants - OVER 1.5 bases

Ohtani and the Angels have yet to land in the win column since the Trade Deadline, entering Monday night seven games out of the third wild card. While the runaway AL MVP favorite hasn't slugged like we're used to over the past week (.542 SLG), he's still recorded nine hits in 24 at-bats (.375 batting average). It will be challenging for Los Angeles to snap their six-game losing skid against Logan Webb and the Giants, but we think Ohtani does his part at the dish tonight, totaling two-plus bases via hits.

When betting on Ohtani's OVER 1.5 bases via hits prop, his high walk rate (14.3 percent; 96th percentile) is always a threat to hinder his chances of going OVER, but with Webb posting an elite 4.3-percent walk rate (96th percentile), Ohtani likely has to earn his way on base with a hit(s) tonight. While Webb's done a fine job of limiting free passes, he's surrendered a subpar 46 percent hard-hit rate (seventh percentile) which is a cause for concern against one of the game's most lethal bats.
