Best Blue Jays-Phillies prop bets today: Top SuperDraft player prop picks for Toronto's Tuesday night tilt image

The Blue Jays ended their mini-slump on Monday, putting a stop to a three-game losing streak with a commanding 11-4 victory over the Cubs. Toronto will look to carry over that momentum into this evening's home game against the Phillies, who, like the Jays, have won six of their past 10 contests. We'll be looking to capitalize on the action with a SuperDraft player prop parlay.

This interleague showdown doesn't just pit two wild-card hopefuls against each other; it should also be quite a duel between Phillies ace Zack Wheeler and hard-throwing Jays lefty Yusei Kikuchi. Wheeler enters the evening with a sparkling 1.10 WHIP, 10.2 strikeouts per nine innings (K/9), and a 3.74 ERA. His four-seamer and sweeper have been masterful, with respective whiff rates of 30 and 41 percent. Kikuchi has a 3.53 ERA, .248 BAA, and a whiff rate north of 30 percent on both his slider and his curveball.

Both these clubs have enjoyed solid offense since the All-Star break, too. The Phillies' 149 runs in that span ranks sixth in the majors, while the Jays rank fifth with 266 post-All-Star hits. Philly and Toronto have also mashed 74 combined second-half homers, and both enjoy a team OPS of .754-plus. A big part of these teams' recent success: Trea Turner and Vlad Guerrero Jr. breaking out of their slumps.

We'll be looking to bust out of our slumps tonight with our SuperDraft player prop parlay, with our eyes on a prize 10 times the size of our entry. Not familiar with SD? Sign up now! Users can pick their favorite over/unders via SuperDraft's Fantasy Props feature, bringing them closer to the action while having a chance to win cash prizes. You win three times the amount you wager if your two-legged player prop parlay hits, and the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes.

Below, we'll break down four of our favorite SuperDraft player props for the Blue Jays-Phillies game on Tuesday evening. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through. Good luck, have fun, and enjoy your night!

Best Blue Jays-Phillies prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Tuesday 8/15

*10x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks

1. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 1B, Blue Jays — OVER 0.5 singles (4/5 confidence)

Vladdy has been making us proud lately, cashing on a bunch of OVER props and leaving his poor first half of the season in the rear-view mirror. He comes into this evening's contest with a lifetime .286 average against Zack Wheeler, and we like his chances to at least rack up one single by the night's end.

And why not? Guerrero Jr. has racked up eight hits over the past seven days, and only one of them was an extra-base hit. He's hitting the ball as hard as ever — with a 93.3-mph average exit velocity and 53.6-percent hard-hit rate — but his home run rate is just 3.6 percent.

Guerrero's also one of the slowest runners in the league (with a sprint speed in the 27th percentile), so Freddie Freeman needn't worry about Vladdy contesting his MLB lead in doubles. Wheeler, meanwhile, has surrendered 12 hits over his past two outings (vs. WSH, @ MIA). Fire up Vlad and root for him to smash a grounder out of the infield with force.

2. Bryce Harper, OF/DH, Phillies — OVER 0.5 singles (3.5/5 confidence)

Harper has heated up with the warm weather, a welcome sight for the Philly faithful. He has 22 hits over his past 20 games, and he's racked up eight extra-base hits, seven runs, and seven RBIs in 12 contests since the start of August.

The two-time MVP has never faced Yusei Kikuchi, but we're optimistic about this lefty-lefty matchup. Harper is batting .265 against lefthanded pitchers on the season, and 17 of his 26 hits against southpaws have been singles. We're not beaming with confidence over this one, but we do like it enough to play it.

3. Yusei Kikuchi, SP, Blue Jays — OVER 6.6 strikeouts (3/5 confidence)

Kikuchi has recorded eight strikeouts in two of his past four starts, and the Phillies strike out seventh-highest rate in the majors (9.1 times per game). They whiff even more on the road, a whopping 9.7 times per away game (fifth-most in MLB). In their last game against Sonny Gray and the Twins, they got punched out by way of the K 11 times.

Seven of those 11 Ks were from Minnesota starting pitcher Sonny Gray, and we have Kikuchi projected for exactly that many strikeouts this evening. Maybe he'll get it done nice and early so we don't have to chew our fingernails off (we're still reeling over a Brady Singer walk prop — OVER 1.5 — on Monday...he walked one, and in his final at-bat, he HIT Dylan Moore and then got pulled. SHEESH!).

4. Zack Wheeler, SP, Phillies — UNDER 6.5 strikeouts (2.5/5 confidence)

Wheeler's command has been a little shaky over his past two outings, resulting in just six strikeouts versus Washington and four at Miami. Now, he faces a Toronto club that has suffered the seventh-fewest strikeouts per game this season (8.1) and even fewer at home (7.8).

This is far from our favorite prop of the parlay — we would honestly probably just play the first three and call it a day — but if you have your heart set on the potential 10X payoff, fire up the UNDER here and send all your negative energy Wheeler's way like Amy Lau in Beef (hey, I just hit my OVER of 0.5 pop culture references — schwing!).
