Best Blue Jays-Orioles prop bets today: Top SuperDraft player prop picks for Toronto's Thursday afternoon tilt image

With the MLB trade deadline in the rear-view mirror, the Blue Jays will be looking to make a strong push toward the top of the AL East in the final two months of the regular season. Winning today at home against the division-leading Orioles — and taking the upcoming road series against the Red Sox and Guardians — would be great launching points to achieving that goal. Today we will highlight our favorite Blue Jays-Orioles SuperDraft props for their Thursday afternoon divisional tilt.

The Blue Jays have enjoyed some forward momentum, winning six of their past 10 games to improve to 60-49. The addition of reliever Jordan Hicks and infielder Paul DeJong — both trade deadline acquisitions from the Cardinals — should help keep Toronto afloat during the IL stints of superstar shortstop Bo Bichette (knee) and All-Star closer Jordan Romano (back)

But the Orioles remain feisty, sporting an AL-best 66-42 record and leading the Rays by 1.5 games and Blue Jays by 6.5. Baltimore is not wowing the world in any particular stats — it's just an all-around solid, young team with a tremendous amount of confidence and the best setup man and closer in the American League. Today's series finale should be a fun one, and we'll be looking to make some money while watching with a player prop parlay.

For those who aren't familiar with SuperDraft, sign up now! Users can pick their favorite over/unders via SuperDraft's Fantasy Props feature, bringing them closer to the action while having a chance to win cash prizes. You win three times the amount you wager if your two-legged player prop parlay hits, and the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes.

Below, we'll break down four of our favorite SuperDraft player props for the Blue Jays-Orioles game on Thursday afternoon. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through. Good luck, have fun, and enjoy your weekend!

Best Blue Jays-Orioles prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Thursday 8/3

*10x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks

1. Kevin Gausman, SP, Blue Jays — UNDER 7 strikeouts (4/5 confidence)

The Orioles may be young, but they aren't free-swingers. Baltimore ranks among the bottom half of the league in strikeouts per game (8.35), and has only fallen victim to 23 strikeouts over its past three games (7.7/game). Thus, we like Gausman to stay below the seven-strikeout threshold this afternoon despite his recent success in the K department.

When the Blue Jays ace last started against the Orioles, he only tallied four strikeouts and nine swinging strikes in 115 pitches. We like Toronto to win this game, and think Gausman will get his revenge from that 8-3 loss on May 21 (he only allowed two runs). However, we're pretty confident that he will log six strikeouts or fewer for the seventh time this season.

2. Ryan Mountcastle, 1B, Orioles — OVER 0.5 singles (3/5 confidence)

Mountcastle has only faced Gausman nine times, but he has three hits in that span. Two of those three hits were singles, so we're feeling pretty good about his chances to record another one-bagger today.

Mountcastle has never been a particularly fast guy, and Gausman hasn't allowed a tremendous amount of extra-base hits this season (opponents are slugging just .379 against him). We're smashing the OVER on this single special.

3. Adam Frazier, 2B/OF, Orioles — OVER 0.5 singles (3/5 confidence)

Frazier has enjoyed strong success against Gausman, betting .385 lifetime against him. Even better, 12 of the 15 hits he has logged against the Toronto ace have been singles.

Frazier also has hits in three of his past four games, and he's batting .313 in the past month. We're not overly enthused about anything Frazier-related at this point in the veteran's career, but we do feel confident he can get a single for us here.

4. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 1B, Blue Jays — UNDER 6 fantasy points (2/5 confidence)

Vladdy has been slumping a bit — he only has two hits over the past six games, and he's gone hitless in 11 games in the month of July. He also has no career hits in three plate appearances against Jack Flaherty, so we're tempering expectations that today will be Vlad's big bounce-back game.

He has drawn two walks against Flaherty, and the slugger does tend to hit better during the day than at night — but we would rather fade this prop entirely than bet the OVER. Consider betting a little more on the first three props rather than wagering less and adding volatility with the fourth leg.
