Best Blue Jays-Mariners prop bets today: Top SuperDraft player prop picks for Toronto's Friday night tilt in Seattle image

Happy Friday, everyone! We're excited to have a full Friday night slate of MLB action, capped off by the Blue Jays taking on the Mariners at T-Mobile Park in Seattle. As always, we compiled our favorite SuperDraft player props for the full slate of games, but today, just for our Canadian audience, we're also specifically highlighting our favorite over/under bets from this evening's Blue Jays-Mariners game.

The Jays are rolling, winning nine of their past 12 games to move to 11 games over .500, while the Mariners have been an underwhelming 6-6 over their past dozen contests. Toronto seems primed to make a run at the Rays and Orioles atop the AL East, while Seattle looks like a long shot to even make the wild card.

We'll be capitalizing on the Jays' hot hitters tonight with some OVER bets on the total bases and fantasy points fronts. We also like one particular OVER for Toronto starter Yusei Kikuchi, who could be in for a bounce-back game after failing to get past the fifth inning in each of his past two starts.

Our game plan, as always, is to select over/under bets that yield the most value. If something is a little too close to call, we avoid it. If we uncover a stat that makes it feel like we have an edge, we attack it. Hopefully, by the end of the night, we will have cashed in on some DFS over/under winnings.

For those who aren't familiar with SuperDraft, sign up now! Users can pick their favorite over/unders via SuperDraft's Fantasy Props feature, bringing them closer to the action while having a chance to win cash prizes. You win three times the amount you wager if your two-legged player prop parlay hits, and the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes. But winning a prop parlay takes careful research, which is where we come in!

Below, we'll break down four of our favorite SuperDraft player props for the Blue Jays-Mariners game on Friday night. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through. Good luck, have fun, and enjoy your weekend!

Best Blue Jays-Mariners prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Friday 7/21

*10x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks

1. Yusei Kikuchi, SP, Blue Jays — OVER 6 strikeouts (4/5 confidence)

BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL FROM 6PM-7PM ET: KIKUCHI OVER 5 STRIKEOUTS (5/5 CONFIDENCE!)

A Mariner for his first three big-league seasons, Kikuchi gets to go back to his old stadium tonight and do battle with an offense that has averaged 3.2 runs per game over its past nine contests. We love Kikuchi to log his first quality start since June 25, with plenty of Seattle's big bats struggling mightily against lefthanded pitchers this season.

The Mariners also strike out 9.8 times per game, the second-highest rate in the majors. They have struck out a whopping 25 times combined over their past two games, and the frustrations have grown so much that outfielder Jarred Kelenic fractured his foot kicking a water cooler after striking out in the ninth inning of Seattle's loss to the Twins on Wednesday.

Hopefully, Scott Servais puts some angry-proof padding on the dugout water coolers and equipment this evening because Kikuchi feasts on swing-happy offenses. He recently struck out seven Red Sox batters one start after retiring eight Athletics by way of the K. We like Kikuchi to mow down at least seven Mariners tonight, but we wouldn't be surprised if he's closer to 10 than five. Bet OVER 6 with confidence.

2. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 1B, Blue Jays — OVER 6.5 fantasy points OR OVER 1.5 bases (3.5/5 confidence)

Vladdy has picked things up at the plate substantially after a bit of a slow start to his season. He also sees righthanded pitchers well and has enjoyed mostly all of his extra-base production against righties this season. Take a look at Guerrero Jr.'s 2023 numbers against righthanders as opposed to southpaws:

RHP/LHP AB 2B HR SLG TB
vs. RHP 310 18 15 .468 145
vs. LHP 54 2 0 .352 19

Pretty telling, huh? Mariners starter Bryce Miller also happens to be a fastball-heavy pitcher, throwing his four-seamer over 67 percent of the time, and Vlad has hit .310 with a .429 xwOBA against heaters this year. We love the OVER here, almost as much as we love Kikuchi's strikeout OVER.

3. Bo Bichette, SS, Blue Jays — OVER 1.5 bases (3/5 confidence)

Bichette has been sizzling at the plate, slashing .348/.423/.478 over Toronto's past six games. He now has 16 home runs, 22 doubles, and a triple on the season, with 202 total bases in 96 games.

Like Vladdy, Bo hits righties very well. Bichette is hitting .312 against righties, and 30 of his 39 extra-base hits have come against righthanders. Fire him up like Bichette fires up a bottle of conditioner every day.

4. Julio Rodriguez, OF, Mariners — UNDER 6.5 fantasy points (3/5 confidence)

Per SuperDraft rules, we need to have at least one player from the other team. In this case, we're happy to take J-Rod and smash the UNDER. The 2022 Rookie of the Year has been in a deep slump as of late, slashing just .200/.300/.229 over his past nine games.

It's gotten even worse over the past week, He has just four hits in 25 plate appearances, good for a .191 batting average, and he's struck out eight times in that span. His slugging percentage over the past six games is .191, just like his average.

Kikuchi typically capitalizes on free-swinging youngsters, so we expect the rough patch to continue for Rodriguez this evening. Hopefully, this UNDER is the cherry on top of your winning four-leg parlay prop sundae!
