Best Blue Jays-Guardians prop bets today: Top SuperDraft player prop picks for Toronto's Monday night road game image

Fresh off a three-game sweep over the Red Sox in Fenway, the Blue Jays head to Progressive Field for an early-week four-game set against the Guardians. In Monday night's series opener, Hyun Jin Ryu (0-1,7.20 ERA, 4.30 xFIP) makes his second start of the season opposite Guardians' rookie Gavin Williams (1-3, 3.38 ERA, 4.96 xFIP). Despite Cleveland selling off key pieces (Aaron Civale, Ahmed Rosario, Josh Bell), the Guardians have an outside shot to win the AL Central, sitting 4.5 games back of the first-place Twins, making this series a critical one for both squads.

Per usual, we compiled our favorite SuperDraft player props for tonight's action in the big leagues, but for our Canadian audience, we're highlighting our favorite over/under bets for Monday night's Blue Jays-Guardians tilt. Users who sign up for SuperDraft can pick their favorite over/unders via SuperDraft's Fantasy Props feature, bringing them closer to the action while having a chance to win cash prizes.

SuperDraft users can win 3X the amount wagered if their two-legged player prop parlay hits. Consequently, the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes, but as the long odds indicate, completing a clean sweep is challenging.

Below, we'll break down three of our favorite SuperDraft player props for Monday night's Blue Jays-Guardians matchup. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all three picks come through.

Best Blue Jays-Guardians prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Monday 8/7

*6x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks

1. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 1B, Blue Jays — OVER 6 fantasy points

Guerrero Jr. rested during Sunday's series finale in Boston, but even without their most lethal power hitter, Toronto churned out 13 runs on 16 hits. We don't expect a double-digit offensive output tonight against a reliable starter in Williams, but we do think Guerrero Jr.'s capable of totaling seven-plus fantasy points.

Williams is a relatively fastball-heavy pitcher, utilizing his four-seamer at a 58-percent clip. With Guerrero boasting a respectable 54.3-percent hard-hit rate against heaters this season, there's a good chance Vladdy records an extra-base hit to boost his chances of scoring seven-plus fantasy points. Vladdy routinely puts together quality at-bats, sitting in the 97th percentile in expected batting average (.301 XBA). Despite hitting .192 over the past week, we're banking on his stability to lead us to a 1-0 start to our player prop parlay.

2. Gavin Williams, SP, Guardians — UNDER 5 strikeouts

Cleveland's top-rated prospect has shown flashes of his potential as a future top-of-the-rotation arm, but he hasn't fared all too well in the strikeout department (20.7 K percentage) to begin his big-league career. Tonight, he'll face a Blue Jays offense ranking in the bottom-third of the league in strikeout rate over the past month (21.5 percent), which we think will result in Williams staying UNDER five strikeouts.

The Blue Jays are also whiffing at the eighth-lowest clip this season (24.1 percent) and tend not to chase pitches outside the zone (26.4-percent chase rate). That makes Williams' task of punching out six-plus Blue Jays even more challenging. While it's still a relatively small sample, Williams has struggled at home, recording a 4.21 ERA with a .273 OBA, striking out just 21 batters in 25.2 innings. Look for the Blue Jays to grind out at-bats as they did this past weekend, resulting in Williams' going UNDER 5 Ks.

3. George Springer, RF, Blue Jays — OVER 0.5 singles

Springer snapped out of his ice-cold stretch at this plate in Boston, recording seven hits in Toronto's weekend sweep to rebuild his confidence. We're backing the star right fielder to maintain his hot streak, totaling at least one single off Williams and the Guardians bullpen. Springer's fared better against right-handers in 2023, slashing .260/.323/.401 while hitting .364 over the past week. With Williams unable to consistently generate swings and misses, Springer's in a position to churn out at least one single.
