Best Blue Jays-Angels prop bets today: Top SuperDraft player prop picks for Toronto's Saturday afternoon contest image

The Blue Jays are looking to win their third-straight game on Saturday afternoon against the Angels after they took the series opener 4-1 on Friday night at Rogers Centre. Kevin Gausman was outstanding on the mound as he only allowed five hits, one earned run, three walks, and struck out nine in six innings.

The only run Gausman gave up was a first-inning solo home run by Shohei Ohtani. Meanwhile, Matt Chapman, Danny Jansen, and Whit Merrifield hit solo home runs for Toronto. The Blue Jays will send Alex Manoah (2-8, 6.10 ERA) to the mound on Saturday afternoon, while the Angels will roll out Reid Detmers (2-7, 4.38 ERA) as they look to take the second game of this three-game set.

We compiled our favorite SuperDraft player props for today's action in the big leagues, but for our Canadian audience, we're highlighting our favorite over/under bets for the second game of this three-game weekend set between the Blue Jays and Angels. Users who sign up for SuperDraft can pick their favorite over/under via SuperDraft's Fantasy Props feature, bringing them closer to the action while having a chance to win cash prizes.

SuperDraft users can win 3X the amount wagered if their two-legged player prop parlay hits. Consequently, the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes, but as the long odds indicate, completing a clean sweep is challenging.

Below, we'll break down three of our favorite SuperDraft player props for Saturday afternoon's Blue Jays-Angels matchup. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through.

Best Blue Jays-Angels prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Saturday 7/29

*6x potential payout if users parlay all three correct picks

1. Bo Bichette, SS, Blue Jays — OVER 1.5 bases

After being stuck in a 0-for-18 drought at the plate (five games), Bichette is starting to find his groove again, which is good news for the Blue Jays. The All-Star shortstop went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI in Friday's win over the Angels. Bichette has recorded at least two or more hits in three-straight games, which he hasn't done since late June.

The 25-year-old infielder will look to pick up a couple of hits against Detmers, who has struggled this month with a 6.64 ERA and .250 OBA. Detmers has a 42.5 percent hard contact rate and .378 BABIP over his last three starts, which bodes well for Bichette. Bichette is hitting .370 (1.048 OPS) against left-handed pitching and has a stellar .300 batting average at home this season. Take Bichette and the OVER on his bases prop.

2. Reid Detmers, SP, Angels — UNDER 5.5 strikeouts

Detmers has noticeably struggled on the mound this month but still racking up strikeouts. The 24-year-old starter just recorded nine strikeouts in five innings in his last start against the Pirates at home. Furthermore, Detmers has gone OVER 5.5 strikeouts in seven out of his past 10 outings.

However, the 24-year-old has gone UNDER 5.5 Ks in three out of his last four road outings, which is a little bit concerning. Detmers faced the Blue Jays earlier this season in Anaheim, where he had five strikeouts in five innings. We could see a similar statline for Detmers today, as Toronto has the fifth-best strikeout percentage (21.1) and ranked 27th in K% vs. LHP (19.1) this season.

3. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., 1B, Blue Jays — OVER 0.5 singles

Since we like Detmers to give up some hits today at the Rogers Centre, it's only right we take Guerrero Jr. to record a single. The 24-year-old first baseman went 0-for-3 with a walk in Friday night's opener, but he should be able to get a hit or two today against Detmers.

Guerrero Jr. has gone OVER 0.5 singles in four out of his last 10 games, including two singles in the series finale on Wednesday afternoon against the Dodgers. This season, the power-hitting first baseman is slashing .321/.443/.357 against southpaws. It's not a huge sample size, as Guerrero Jr. has 56 at-bats against lefties but 337 at-bats against right-handed pitchers. However, we need the ball to make it out of the infield for this prop to cash.
