Up now: Angels reliever Cam Bedrosian

What’s one of your first baseball memories?
BEDROSIAN:
Oh, man. When I was little, my dad played for the Braves. I was just a baby, being at Fulton County Stadium, and I just vividly remember one game we were sitting down the third-base line and I was looking out to the pen. I remember that. That's probably one of the earliest ones. I was only 2 or 3, maybe.

Your dad had a great beard. Is that something you aspire to?
BEDROSIAN:
Sure, sure. He's actually, I think he's won some awards, not official awards, but fan-voted awards for having a good beard. Someone once said he had the same kind of beard as one of those famous opera singers. But, yeah, it's just something I've always been able to grow since I was in high school, and I always liked beards.

What’s the last show you binge-watched?
BEDROSIAN:
"Vikings." I’m actually watching it now. I’ve already watched all of it and I'm going back here with my buddy Nick Tropeano. We’re starting it back over so we can catch up. I'm trying my hardest not to give spoilers. He keeps asking me what’s going on. Half of it I remember, and half of it I don’t, so I don’t want to spoil it for him.

What’s the most embarrassing injury you’ve ever had?
BEDROSIAN:
I broke my arm when I was little. I jumped off the bunk bed. I thought I was Superman. I had a cape on. I jumped off and I just fell right into a wooden shoe box down below, right on my right arm. I guess what it was was that I didn't have enough running room to get the right start.

Do you have any superstitions?
BEDROSIAN:
Not really. The only thing that really comes to mind is just going over the line with my right foot. Right foot over the line, always.

What’s your favorite free-time activity?
BEDROSIAN:
In the offseason, I like to duck hunt. I didn't get to do a whole lot of this year, for one reason or another. Just didn’t really get to it. Don’t really have any favorite kinds. Mallards are, I guess you could say, the trophy ducks. But I’m good with whatever’s there that day. It’s always fun to see what shows up that day. In different parts of the country, you get different birds. In Georgia, there aren’t a whole lot of ducks, so I’ll go more in Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas. I was going to go out to Oregon, but ended up having to cancel that trip. Thought that would have been pretty cool, because I’ve never done anything out in the northwest like that. I’ve done it here in Arizona.

What’s one talent you’d most like to have?
BEDROSIAN:
I would like to be able to play a fiddle or a violin or something like that. Any instrument would be cool. But if I had to pick, it’d be one of those.

What’s your most useless talent?
BEDROSIAN.
I can shake my eyes. (he shakes his eyes). I say that's kind of useless.

Did you have a job before baseball?
BEDROSIAN:
Just baseball. I was the youngest of three brothers, so my dad once he was playing baseball, he pretty much coached me. So I was the one that was traveling all year round, play year-round, doing all baseball stuff.

What’s best purchase you’ve ever made?
BEDROSIAN:
I don’t know. A shotgun for duck hunting, maybe?

Do you have any favorite Twitter follows?
BEDROSIAN:
Not really. I'm trying to think of favorites. Nobody comes to mind as my favorite. Just like keeping up on the news. I don't watch the TV, basically ever — I mean, I watch Netflix or shows, but I don't watch the news news. Twitter’s basically how I get my news.
