The Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly made a big commitment to Jrue Holiday.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Holiday and the Bucks have agreed to a four-year maximum extension that is worth up to $160 million.

The Bucks now have their core of Holiday, Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo under contract for the foreseeable future.

The Bucks acquired Holiday from the New Orleans Pelicans in the offseason in a four-team trade. He's appeared in 38 games with the Bucks this season, averaging 17.0 points, 5.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds and a career-best 1.8 steals on 50.9 percent shooting from the field and 39.0 percent from 3-point range.

At 32-17, the Bucks currently have the third-best record in the Eastern Conference, trailing the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets in first and second by two games each.

On the books for $26.1 million this season, Holiday had a $27.0 million player option in his contract for 2021-22. He would've been an unrestricted free agent following this season had he opted out of his player option.
