Milwaukee Bucks blowout the New York Knicks by 44; make history as they extend win streak to 12 games image

The Milwaukee Bucks extended their unbeaten streak to 12 games behind a dominant 132-88 win against the New York Knicks at home.

Five players scored in double figures for the Bucks as they handed the Knicks their seventh straight loss.

Here are the biggest takeaways from the Bucks' win:

Greek Freak does his thing; career-night for Wilson

In the easy win, the Bucks only needed 22 minutes from Giannis Antetokounmpo and even in so few minutes, he showed out.

En route to the win, he recorded a league-leading 20th double-double from 21 games. He shot 10-of-14 from the field, 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and was a +25 in his time on the court.

At the half, the Bucks led by 27 which opened up the opportunity for multiple reserves to get some playing time. That's when D.J. Wilson made a splash!

The 23-year-old went off a career-high while making eight of his nine field goal attempts. He played 24 minutes and finished with a career-high 19 points.

In the comfortable win, Khris Middleton, in the fourth game since his return from injury, had his second-most efficient game of the season. He recorded 16 points, seven rebounds, and three assists on 7-of-10 shooting from the field.

Bucks make history with win

The 44-point win was the team's second consecutive win by a margin by 40+ points after they defeated the Charlotte Hornets by 41 a couple of days earlier.

They became the fifth team in NBA history to win consecutive games by 40+ points.

That isn't it.

Over the course of their current win streak, the Bucks have the second-best offensive rating (116.5), the third-best defensive rating (101.8) in the league and the best net rating (14.8).

Could streak snap vs. the Clippers?

On Friday, the Bucks host the Clippers for the second game of their season series.

They are favoured to take care of business against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, so could the Bucks' win streak end against the Clippers?

In the season's earlier matchup between both teams, the Bucks won a thriller but the Clippers were playing without their star duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Both seem likely to play this time given that there are a couple of days off before the game against the Bucks.

And so far, when George and Leonard have stepped on the floor together, the Clippers are 5-1.

While the result is difficult to predict, it promises to be a mouth-watering, cant-miss contest.
