NBA Top Shot is a blockchain-based platform that allows fans to buy, sell and trade numbered versions of specific, officially licensed video highlights from NBA games. You can read more on NBA Top Shot here if you're interested.

These specific moments we select are not associated with NBA Top Shot and will not necessarily be made into a real Top Shot moment. This is simply to highlight some of the best plays in a given night that we believe could be deserving of a special Top Shot moment.

So without further ado, your NBA Top Shot Moment of the night...

#NBATopShotThis: Morant freezes the defence with behind-the-back dribble

Memphis Grizzlies livewire point guard Ja Morant is a walking highlight machine.

In the third quarter of the Grizzlies 120-113 win over the Portland Trail Blazers, Morant dug into his bag of tricks with one of several 'did he just do that?' plays.

Going downhill, the 21-year-old made a beeline to the basket going left, before quickly bringing the ball behind his back as he froze his defender CJ McCollum to open a lane to the hoop for the bucket.

The speed, the agility, the presence of mind...Morant turned the Blazers home floor into his personal playground as he piled up 28 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals on 8-of-15 shooting and 3-of-4 from the 3-point line.

The win moved the eighth-seed Grizzlies to 0.5 of a game of the Blazers in the Western Conference standings, with the race for playoff spots getting even tighter, with just under a month left in the regular season.

Morant already has 13 different moments on the Top Shot marketplace, with no doubt he'll add even more this season. The top sale for one of his moments is a whopping $100,000 (USD).
