Who won the 2024 Little League World Series? Updated schedule, brackets for teams still alive in Williamsport image

Who will be the king of Williamsport in 2024? Baseball fans soon will have an answer.

The 2024 Little League World Series is in full swing in Williamsport, Pa. The tournament started with 10 teams from across the U.S., and 10 more from across the globe, but that number has slowly decreased with clubs getting knocked out of the double-elimination bracket.

This year's tournament has been full of thrilling performances, including no-hitters, dramatic walk-offs and sensational comebacks to keep their hopes of a championship alive.

The Sporting News has you covered with everything that you need to know for this year's Little League World Series, including a complete tournament schedule.

Who won the Little League World Series 2024?

Florida won the Little League World Series, defeating Chinese Taipei 2-1 in the championship game on Sunday.

The squad from Lake Mary was down to its final out and facing a potential shutout loss in the sixth inning, but a double forced extra innings. With the ghost runner on second to start the eighth, a Florida bunt was fielded but thrown to first base with no one covering the bag. The ball got away, a run scored, and that won the title for Florida.

It's the first-ever Little League World Series championship for a Florida-based team, coming in unlikely fashion for a group of young players who will never forget these last few weeks.
