Canada's shootout win over a U Sports All-Star team in an exhibition game on Wednesday came at a cost, as Alex Formenton appeared to suffer an injury in the closing stages of overtime.
Formenton, 19, is expected to be a key member of Canada's World Junior Championship squad later this month. His participation in the tournament could now be in doubt as the Ottawa Senators prospect exited the game with an apparent knee injury after a collision with an opponent.

Alex Formenton appeared to suffer a leg injury (knee?) with only seconds remaining in overtime. Hobbled off ice in obvious pain. Couldn’t put any weight on it as he was assisted by trainers to get to the dressing room.
