Xander Schauffele is walking away a much richer man.

The 30-year-old won his first-ever golf major at the 2024 PGA Championship, solidifying himself as one of today's best golfers.

Schauffele began Round 1 in historic fashion, shooting 9-under at the Valhalla Golf Club. His 62 on the 71-par course was the lowest score in PGA Championship history.

He didn't quite keep the pace up for the remainder of the tournament, but Schauffele held onto his lead even with a late push from Bryson DeChambeau on Sunday.

Along with the pride and joy of winning any golf major, Schauffele takes home the largest slice of the PGA Championship purse. Here's what he made compared to the runners-up.
