Wyndham Championship: Byeong-Hun An keeps control of leaderboard heading into final round image

Byeong-Hun An holds a one-stroke lead heading into Sunday's final round of the Wyndham Championship.

An, who had shared or held the solo lead since Thursday, is searching for his first PGA Tour win.

But it won't come easy.

He was in danger of falling from the top of the leaderboard today and has tough competition trailing right behind him. However, An was able to keep his bogey-free streak going through 54 holes en route to a round of 4-under 66, which was highlighted by an impressive 51-plus foot putt, the longest of the PGA season.

He is now 17 under for the tournament.

Webb Simpson at one point tied An for the lead after a near-perfect round. He used a spotless front nine to put pressure on An, including a birdie on the par-4 9th hole.

Simpson ultimately fell into second place a shot behind An (16 under) after a bogey on the par-4 14th hole. He shot a 5-under 65 on the Sedgefield Country Club course in Greensboro, N.C.

Brice Garnett, who carded a 66 Saturday, is tied for second with Simpson.

Twelve other golfers are within five shots of the lead. Ryan Armour (65 on Saturday) moved up four spots to claim solo possession of fourth (15 under) and Viktor Hovland, J.T. Poston and Paul Casey share a tie for fifth place at 14 under.

Fabián Gómez and Rory Sabbatini are tied for eighth place (13 under) and there is a sizable tie to round out the top 10.
