The PGA Tour returns stateside this week after the conclusion of the British Open, golf's final major of 2019, as the season winds down and the push for the Tour Championship begins in earnest.
Forty-five of the top 50 players in the world made the trip from Northern Ireland to Memphis, Tennessee, to compete in the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational.
Shane Lowry, fresh off winning the Claret Jug, withdrew from the tournament after his first career major victory. But the field at TPC Southwind includes most of golf's big stars, including world No. 1 Brooks Koepka and No. 2 Dustin Johnson.

Koepka continued his major tournament tear at Royal Portrush, finishing tied for fourth. He placed in the top five in all four majors in 2019, winning the PGA Championship, but has not finished better than 50th at a non-mjaor in the last two months. Johnson is coming off a disappointing t-51 and hasn't won since February.
The field also includes Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy and U.S. Open champ Gary Woodland, all of whom missed the British Open cut. Tiger Woods is sitting this tournament out and isn't expected to play again until the BMW Championship.
