Like father, like son.
Tiger Woods gets a chance to play golf with his 11-year old son, Charlie, this weekend at the PNC Championship, an annual event featuring father-son pairings. It's the first year Charlie's played in the event with Tiger, and the youngster didn't waste time to play a pinpoint shot to set up an eagle for the pairing.
On the par-5 third hole at the Ritz Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida, Charlie stood over the second shot with a tree line directly in front of him. It would take a draw to find the green beyond the trees. Charlie pulled out his 5-wood and let fly. The ball trickled to within two feet of the hole.
Eagle for Team Woods. 🦅

As it turned out, the scramble format allowed the Woods duo to use Charlie's ball for all three shots on the third hole. Playing from closer tees, Charlie sent his drive down the left side of the fairway. Then he dialed that 5-wood onto the green. And Charlie putted to finish off the eagle, too, essentially compiling the score himself.
Tiger broke into a huge smile after Charlie finished off the eagle, and he can be heard telling his son, "That's your first eagle!"
What it's all about. 🙌

Father and son Woods played in matching purple shirts with black pants, and the eagle pushed them to 3-under par through three holes. They slotted into the tournament's top 10 for much of Saturday, with the second and final round slated for Sunday. Here's hoping Tiger and Charlie Woods break out Tiger's "Sunday red."
