Tiger Woods is still trying to make a huge comeback after he underwent a spinal fusion last April.

The golf legend will get another chance at the Genesis Open at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles this week, marking his second PGA tournament this season.

During his Tuesday press conference, Woods was peppered with questions about his back and what he wants to accomplish as he gets back in the swing of competing in tournaments.

“Just not to feel sore. To feel like I can play all out again with three days off. Be able to go at it full bore again,” Woods said. “That’s something that I’ve been trying to do at home, trying to simulate rounds where I go full bore at it, but it’s never the same as in a tournament.

"I try and get myself as fired up as possible, hit shots as hard as I would in a tournament or shape shots and be able to do things that I like to do, but it’s just not the same.”

Woods will be playing the first two rounds with Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas. When asked how his relationship with younger players impacts him, he went into competition mode.

"I'm trying to win a tournament. I'm sure they feel the same way," Woods said. "It's winning time. I think now they're starting to see me as a competitor because I'm starting to come back again."
