Golfing outfits tend to do a good job hiding any sort of tan lines since golfers almost always wear the same clothes. But tan lines around a haircut are a little more difficult to cover up, as Scottie Scheffler learned Thursday.
The world No. 1 golfer debuted a new haircut at the U.S. Open, a cut that clearly isn't all that different from his normal haircut. It is just a bit shorter.

He got the cut from Monti the Barber, who is the official barber for the USGA, U.S. Open, PGA Tour and LIV Golf.
However, the haircut showed off some clear tan lines that were apparent to anyone watching him golf.

Scottie Scheffler’s new haircut is so short he has tan lines where his sideburns used to be. Might not be his week? 🤷🏻♂️⛳️✂️ #USOpen pic.twitter.com/AReDqwCnbQ

Scottie loves a fade so much that he asked for one at the barbershop.

Scheffler shot a 71, or 1-over-par, during Round 1 of the U.S. Open. While he's still in contention, he has his work cut out for him the next couple days. Considering the jokes and his Day 1 performance, maybe Scheffler will hold off on getting a new haircut just before the next big tournament.
