The moral of the story is: Don't ever count out Brooke Henderson.
Henderson was tied for third entering the third round of the CP Women's Open in Aurora, Ont., after compiling a 9-under-par score through the first two days. The scene quickly shifted Saturday after she had bogeyed the fourth and sixth holes, both par-4s. The slow start dropped her down to a tie for 13th and seven strokes off the lead.
But don't poke the bear.
The soon-to-be 22-year-old shot 9 under on the next 10 holes to move back up the leaderboard into third place (-16) going into the final day.

After her second round, Henderson told reporters, "I feel confident going into tomorrow that I could get on a run and make a bunch of birdies, which is always a great feeling."
The Smiths Falls, Ont., native was quite prophetic as she rattled off seven birdies. Henderson also added an eagle on the par-5 12th hole.
Last year, Henderson became the first Canadian woman to capture the Open, ending a 45-year drought. She currently sits two strokes behind Denmark's Nicole Broch Larsen and Jin Young Ko of South Korea.
The only other Canadian to make the cut, Anne-Catherine Tanguay, shot a 1-under 71 and sits at 5 under for the tournament.
