It was never in doubt.

Canada's Nick Taylor completed a dominant run through the 2020 Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Sunday by shooting a 2-under 70 in the final round, finishing 19-under to win by four strokes over Kevin Streelman. The Winnipeg native led from wire to wire, becoming the first Canadian to do so on the PGA Tour in 60 years.

Paired with Phil Mickleson for the final round, Taylor had to contend with windy conditions as he battled to the second Tour title of his career. Despite a strong charge by Streelman, Taylor was able to hold off the American with a steel-nerved resolve as he shot two birdies in his final four holes.

“That was amazing,” Taylor said. “I believed I could do it because I've done it before. But to do it in that fashion, playing with Phil, gives me a lot of confidence going forward.”

Taylor's victory qualifies him for the Masters — he'll be the fourth Canadian in the field at Augusta — and the PGA Championship.
