The LPGA Tour kicked off its 2019 season on Thursday with the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., and Canadian Brooke Henderson is tied for the lead after one round.
After starting the day with a bogey on the second hole, 21-year-old Henderson birdied seven of the remaining 16 holes — including three-straight on holes 11, 12 and 13 — placing her on top of the leaderboard with Korean Eun-Hee Ji at six-under 65.

"I was hitting it well today and making putts, so that's all you can really ask for," Henderson said. "I had it today so hopefully I can keep it going over the weekend."
Henderson will tee-off at 9:50 a.m. ET on Friday for her second round. The event also features a celebrity tournament, so Henderson's group for the round includes former tennis player Mardy Fish and Blair O'Neal, winner of the golf competition show Big Break, who are in first and second in their tournament, respectively.
