Stephen Curry turned it on in Philadelphia, torching the short-handed 76ers for 49 points as he led the Golden State Warriors to a 107-96 win.

Curry was up to his usual tricks, knocking down 10 3-pointers as he accounted for nearly half of his team's points as they handed the 76ers just their fifth home loss of the season.

Joel Embiid continued his MVP-level play, recording 28 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists, leading six players in double figures on the night.

Steph re-writes history books

Curry has been on a tear in recent weeks and tonight he punctuated his hot streak, breaking multiple records.

The 33-year-old has now buried 72 3-pointers in his past 10 games — the most in a 10 game stretch in NBA history. Even more impressively, he's connected on 50.3 percent of his 3s in that span!.

His triple to tie the game at 86-86 made it 11 straight games with 30+ points, passing Kobe Bryant for the most by any player 33 or older, while his streak is the most by a Warriors player since Wilt Chamberlain in 1964.

Tonight's performance marked his sixth game this season knocking down 10+ 3s and the 21st in his career — no other player in NBA history has more than five.

“There’s something beautiful about it. It really is an art,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “What he’s doing is amazing to watch. Nobody in the history of this game has ever done what he’s doing right now. And I’m talking the full gamut of shooting off the dribble, off the screen, running around like a madman when he’s off the ball.”

Curry vs. Curry

In the City of Brotherly Love, Seth Curry and Steph Curry went back and forth like it was the family driveway, with Seth holding his own against his older brother early in the contest.

Playing without Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris, the 76ers deployed Seth against Steph, who played solid defence against his brother, stripping him on the 3-point line for an easy layup, before the Chef really started to get cooking.

Steph finished the quarter with 11 points, tying it up at 24-24 with this triple at the buzzer, right over his brother.

Seth impressed handling the ball at the point, running pick-and-rolls with Embiid and finding his own shot, scoring all 15 of his points in the first half. From there it was all Steph who dominated the second half, scoring 20 of his 49 in the fourth quarter alone.

After Embiid made a pair of free throws to put the 76ers up 92-91, Curry responded with two of his own, which sparked a 10-0 Warriors run, including two more triples from Curry and a running layup from Andrew Wiggins to seize control of the contest.

Embiid shines for Philly

While the MVP chants were raining down for Curry, Joel Embiid turned in another dominant performance tonight, recording 28 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists.

In the absence of Simmons and Harris, the Warriors defence was zeroed in on the MVP candidate, sending weakside help his way from the jump, but he responded well, whipping passes out of double teams and finding open shooters with regularity.

His eight assists were one shy of his season-high, an area he's greatly improved this season, reading the defence and making the right pass under pressure.

Hill makes debut

Recently-acquired point guard George Hill made his debut for the 76ers after being sidelined following thumb surgery.

He finished with two points, two rebounds, and two assists in 18 minutes on court, but gave coach Doc Rivers a glimpse of what he can provide come playoff time.

The 34-year-old veteran was poised handling the ball, finding teammates out of the pick-and-roll and looks like he will be able to provide some extra playmaking and stability for their bench unit.

What's next?

The 76ers will look to bounce back when they visit the high-flying Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, while the Warriors are back in action on Wednesday against the Washington Wizards.
