The Golden State Warriors are off to a scorching start to the season, having won 18 of their first 20 games and to nobody's surprise, they have been led by Stephen Curry's phenomenal play.
The two-time former league MVP is the frontrunner for this season's MVP so far, averaging 28.3 points per game, 6.8 assists and a career-high 5.8 rebounds. What's stood out from his performances so far is superhuman 3-point shooting.

By volume, this season's Stephen Curry is even outdoing the Stephen Curry of all the previous season, who many have already anointed the greatest shooter of all time.
Through 20 games, he's knocking down a career-high 5.5 3-pointers per game. At this rate, he's projected to knock down nearly 450 for the season which will shatter his previously owned record of 402, which is already superhuman compared to others.
Out of his 105 3-pointers, 62 have come in just 10 games including four nine 3-pointer games (all four have come in the last 10 games). With each of these wild high-volume nights from beyond the arc, he just keeps fine-tuning the 3-point records he owns.
In their win over the LA Clippers on Sunday, Curry knocked down seven triples to make it 105 3-pointers through 19 games, breaking his own record for the most 3-pointers in the first 20 games of the season.
He previously did it in 2015-16 with 102 and 2018-19 with 101.
Stephen Curry has made 105 threes in 19 games this season, breaking his own record for the fewest games needed to make 100 threes.

Take a look at one of his recent games in Cleveland.
Curry erupted for 40 points, his fourth of the 2021-22 season, with 20 of those coming in the fourth quarter as he single-handedly outscored the Cavaliers by 12 and inspired Golden State to the comfortable win.
En route to 40, he knocked down nine 3-pointers. This was his 38th career game of nine or more 3-pointers and the fourth of this season alone.
In fact, he's been so hot from long distance of late that this game was his 10th game of nine or more 3-pointers since Apr. 2021, which is already the NBA record.
What's even more remarkable is his efficiency on these high-volume nights. Through the four games this season when he's shot nine 3-pointers or more, he's knocking them down at a rate of 54.5 percent.
As it stands, Curry has now knocked down 428 3-pointers in the 2021 calendar year, which is already an NBA record and the Warriors still have 15 games to go before the New Year kicks in.
