Canadian Mychal Mulder will get his shot to impress at the NBA level.

Mulder will reportedly sign a 10-day contract with the Golden State Warriors, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Mulder went undrafted in 2017 after spending two seasons at the University of Kentucky where he was teammates with fellow Canadian Jamal Murray.

Prior to his arrival at Kentucky, Mulder spent two years at Vincennes University, a junior college in Indiana that produced the likes of Shawn Marion and Hall of Famer Bob McAdoo.

Mulder's road to making his potential NBA debut has been a long one, and he's been close in the past. He spent time with both the Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat in Summer League but never really had the chance to earn a main roster spot.

Each season in the G League, Mulder has progressed well. His first year in 2017-18 with the Windy City Bulls, Mulder averaged 9.3 points, 4.4 rebounds shooting just 33% from the field. He followed that up with a jump in production his second year with the Bulls G League affiliate, averaging 13.7 points while shooting 41% from 3.

This season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Windsor, Ontario native is averaging 17.0 points, 4.5 rebounds while shooting 40% from 3 on 9.8 attempts. He leads the G League with a total of 152 made triples in 39 games.

Mychal Mulder's G-League Growth
Year Games FG% 3P% PPG PER
2017-18 48 41.9 32.9 9.3 10.5
2018-19 47 46.1 41.3 13.7 12.6
2019-20 39 45.1 39.9 17.0 15.5

There's room in the NBA for Mulder's talent. He's a supreme athlete with the tools to defend and now has shown the ability to shoot the triple at a high level.

Whether or not he sticks in the league with the Warriors beyond this 10-day contract remains to be seen, but the evidence is now there that the league is paying attention to Mulder's growth and are now believers in his talent.
