Kyle Lowry won't play for Team USA at the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup in China.
He announced his decision on his Instagram page on Monday afternoon.
"I was hoping (to) be cleared and ready for the tournament but I was not cleared for full basketball activities," Lowry said in the post.
"I was hoping to be available in time to help my country in their quest for gold this upcoming tournament. I love playing for USAB but I have to sit this one out and support the team from home."
Lowry joins the list of All-Stars to forgo the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

The 33-year-old helped the United States capture Gold at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
This past season he helped the Toronto Raptors win their first-ever NBA championship.
He averaged 14.2 points, 8.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 65 appearances for the Raptors in 2018-19.
