Whenever the Eagles are on bye, our tight end rankings take a hit. Between Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert, and Richard Rodgers, Eagles TEs have routinely been top-10 producers in PPR formats. Now, along with the Rams (Tyler Higbee, Gerald Everett), Browns (Austin Hooper, Harrison Bryant, David Njoku), and Bengals (Drew Sample), the Eagles are idle, and our Week 9 fantasy TE PPR rankings will have to rely on a few higher-target sleepers and waiver-wire streamers
The good news is that Logan Thomas is returning to action. Thomas has seen at least four targets in every game this year and ranks 10th among TEs (minimum three games) in targets per game (5.7). He will be a top streaming option, and in PPR, he could even emerge as a TE1.
WEEK 9 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
Other risers in PPR include Hayden Hurst (vs. Broncos) and Dalton Schultz (vs. Steelers). Their matchups aren't exactly favorable, but both rank top 10 in TE targets so far this season. That gives them some upside in PPR formats. The same can be said of Trey Burton (vs. Ravens), who has two rushing touchdowns this year on top of his frequent targets.
WEEK 9 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | D/ST | Kicker
Players that will fall a bit in PPR will be Jonnu Smith (vs. Bears), who not only has a tough matchup but has also had just four total catches in his past three games, Mike Gesicki (@ Cardinals), who has one or fewer catches in four of the past five games, and Greg Olsen (@ Bills), who has a good matchup but has just three catches in his past three games. They all have some upside, but they are better considerations in standard leagues than in PPR formats.

One more potential sleeper to watch is Jordan Reed (vs. Packers). George Kittle (ankle) limped to the locker room late in San Francisco's Week 8 game, and Reed (knee) looks ready to return from the IR. With the 49ers playing on Thursday night, he might be thrust into action ahead of schedule. In the last full game he played, he caught seven-of-eight targets for 50 yards and two scores, so you know the upside is there if Kittle is out.
