In Week 9, NFL DFS players should have an easy time building a lineup for cash games. There are a bunch of lopsided matchups on the slate, and some solid value plays with high floors will make it easy to find worthwhile contributors. These under-the-radar picks might not have the same ceiling as the boom-or-bust options we're more likely to trust in tournaments, but they're perfect for cash lineups. Our Week 9 DraftKings cash lineup will target those contributors, use a balanced spending approach, and look for a couple of sleepers to field a competitive lineup.
Once again, we're trusting Justin Herbert as our play at QB. He continues to be priced at a sub-$7K rate, but he is producing as one of the top fantasy QBs in all formats, including DraftKings. The rest of our RBs and WRs all cost between $5K-$7K, and while we spent down at flex, TE, and D/ST, the floors of the players we have used are still high enough. Either way, our strategy is sound. Now, it's just about seeing whether or not it works.

DraftKings Week 9 Picks: NFL DFS cash lineup
QB Justin Herbert, Chargers vs. Raiders ($6,800). Herbert continues to be one of the most consistent quarterbacks in fantasy football this season. He is averaging 27 DK points per game and has logged at least three TDs in his past four outings while averaging 303.3 passing yards per game on the season. The Raiders defense has been subpar against QBs this year, so as long as Herbert is priced below $7K, he's worth trusting.
RB James Robinson, Jaguars vs. Texans ($7,000). So far this season, the Texans are allowing an average of 151 rushing yards to RBs. That's the most in the NFL by quite a bit. Robinson should have a chance to take advantage of that. He has logged double-digit DK points in every outing this year and has three games with at least 24 DK points. With Jake Luton likely starting, the Jaguars should lean on the run, so that will makes Robinson more appealing given his potential high volume of carries.
WEEK 9 DFS TOURNAMENT LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel
RB James Conner, Steelers @ Cowboys ($6,900). Save for the first game of the season in which he suffered a sprained ankle, Conner has totaled no fewer than 15 rushing attempts and has at least 14.1 DK points in each of his outings. The Cowboys have allowed the most rushing yards (1,109) this year to RBs. The Steelers should continue to make life difficult for the Cowboys, and Conner could have a big day moving the chains.
WR Keenan Allen, Chargers vs. Raiders ($7,000). Allen has seen 10-plus targets in each of his starts with Herbert under center. The only one where he didn't was a game that he exited early due to back spasms. Allen should take advantage of a Raiders defense that let him catch 13 passes for 139 yards in two games against them last season. Plus, having a Herbert-Allen stack gives this lineup a great shot at double points.
WEEK 9 DFS CASH LINEUPS: FanDuel
WR Chase Claypool, Steelers @ Cowboys ($5,700). Stacking Claypool with Conner may seem like an odd move, but the Dallas defense is that bad. They have allowed 33.3 points per game so far this season, and their 14 TDs surrendered to WRs ranks as the second most in the NFL behind only the Vikings. Claypool has been a bit up-and-down, but since Week 5, he has three games with at least 14.2 fantasy points. He's priced lowered than JuJu Smith Schuster, so that makes him a good value, relatively speaking.
WR Marvin Jones, Lions @ Vikings ($5,100). Kenny Golladay (hip) is out ,and that will push Jones into the No. 1 receiver role in the Lions' offense. The Vikings have allowed the third-most DK points to WRs this year (47.8), so Jones could take advantage while seeing more targets from Chase Daniel, who will likely start in place of Matthew Stafford (COVID). He's a high-floor, high-ceiling kind of guy that should help this cash lineup to find success.
WEEK 9 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
TE Logan Thomas, Washington vs. Giants ($3,700). Thomas has seen at least four targets in every game and has averaged 51 yards and a TD in his past two games. He could repeat his three-catch, 42-yard, one-TD game against the Giants from a couple of weeks ago and is worth a shot as a sub-$4K price in what looks like a difficult week for tight ends,
FLEX Jerry Jeudy, Broncos @ Falcons ($4,700). After seeing a career high in targets (10) and receiving yards (73), Jeudy gets a favorable matchup against a Falcons defense that has given up the second-most total receiving yards to WRs this year (1,695). Jeudy should be the No. 1 receiver if Tim Patrick (hamstring) is out, and he has the tools needed to take advantage of this potential offensive shootout.
