Week 7 Fantasy Flex Rankings

The tough start 'em, sit 'em decisions will continue into Week 7 for fantasy football owners. With the Ravens, Colts, Vikings, and Dolphins all on bye, plenty of top fantasy contributors will be out. That includes guys like Dalvin Cook, Jonathan Taylor, Myles Gaskin, Mark Ingram, Adam Thielen, DeVante Parker, T.Y. Hilton, Marquise Brown, and more. That means some fantasy owners will be scrambling big-time to fill holes on their roster, so plugging in streamers or deeper sleepers may be a necessity this week. Comparing RB, WR, and TE options for final lineup spots can be difficult, but our Week 7 flex rankings will try to help you with that.

Luckily for some fantasy owners, Alvin Kamara, Chris Carson, Josh Jacobs, Keenan Allen, Michael Thomas, DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Darren Waller, and Hunter Henry, are among those that are returning to our flex rankings this week after byes. That at least gives the top of these rankings some punch both now and in the future and will improve the overall depth of options for fantasy owners to consider.

WEEK 7 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

As always, matchups are important when choosing flex plays, as is deciding if you want to go from a boom-or-bust player. The Seahawks and Cowboys are among the worst teams against WRs this season, so fringe receivers of the Cardinals (Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald) and Washington (Dontrelle Inman) could have more value this week. It's also a good idea to target some potential high-scoring games that could produce unexpected contributors. This week, Falcons-Lions, Chargers-Jaguars, Steelers-Titans, and Texans-Packers could have at least one high-scoring side in them. 

WEEK 7 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

If you want a safer option at flex, go with a running back. RBs don't have ceilings as high as WRs, but if someone like Frank Gore gets volume, he'll be safer than a Mecole Hardman-type, who can do a lot with the ball in his hands but could easily throw up a dud like last week.

One more friendly reminder: Always put your player with the latest-starting game into your flex spot. That'll give you more flexibility if there are any last-minute cancellations or if the player you have in the flex spot is unexpectedly inactive.
