Our Week 6 fantasy kicker rankings suffer some key losses because of byes (Saints, Chargers, Raiders, Seahawks), as well as rescheduling, as now there's no longer a game in the thin air of Denver. Nonetheless, we trudge on, and there are plenty of good kickers in favorable matchups this week.
Of course, this is where we question whether we can really trust kicker matchup stats. It's still early enough in the season that fantasy-points-against numbers can be skewed by one abnormally good or bad game, but trends are trends, and if defenses are consistently allowing a good amount of fantasy points to kickers most weeks, then it shouldn't be overlooked. Heading into Week 5, the Vikings, Jets, Chargers, Bengals, and Jaguars were in the top five in fantasy points per game allowed to kickers, with the Seahawks, Bears, Cowboys, and Texans not far behind.
WEEK 6 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST
On the flip side, the Patriots, Colts, Titans, Steelers, Dolphins, Chiefs, Packers, and Ravens have been especially stingy. That doesn't mean you should necessarily bench Randy Bullock, who's been one of the top fantasy kickers this year, against the Colts this week, but he has slightly less upside than usual. Conversely, some top kickers, including Jason Sanders (vs. Jets), Joey Slye (vs. Bears), Rodrigo Blankenship (vs. Bengals), Matt Prater (@ Jaguars), Zane Gonzalez (@ Cowboys), and Youngwoe Koo (@ Vikings) all look like high-upside options.
WEEK 6 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST
The ultimate lesson here is that there are plenty of good kicking options heading into Week 6 despite the thinner rankings. As we always caution, if your kicker is on bye, drop them and pick up someone else, as it's never worth having two kickers on your roster. Chances are if you really want someone like Wil Lutz, Michael Badgley, or Daniel Carlson back, you'll be able to pick him back up ahead of Week 7.

If you can't, then your league sucks anyway because you have owners in it who pick up kickers during their bye weeks. Don't be in that league.
