Week 5 Fantasy Football Flex Rankings for Superflex, 2-QB leagues

Another week has come and gone with quarterbacks dominating fantasy football leagues. Last week, 22 QBs were top-50 scorers, according to fantasydata.com, and that has been about par for the course so far this season. There's no position more valuable than QB from a point-scoring standpoint, and that's why so many passers are highly-ranked in our Week 5 superflex rankings.

There's almost never a reason to play a non-QB in your flex spot in a superflex league. Sure, maybe you were able to get lucky and landed some top-tier depth at running back by grabbing Jerick McKinnon or James Robinson late in your fantasy draft. Maybe your receiving corps is stacked and you have enough top-tier talent or matchup-based plays to get a high-ceiling player in at the flex spot. But those situations are few and far between and with QBs having extremely high floors, they are the top position to trust in the superflex spot by far.

WEEK 5 PPR RANKINGS:

Per usual, our superflex rankings contain the 30 quarterbacks starting this week. They are a bit weaker than normal as Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford, two normal top-20 plays in superflex formats, are on bye this week, but there are still plenty of QB options to choose from. That said, there are plenty of replacement options for them. Even the bottom barrel guys at QB -- Kyle Allen, whoever starts for the Jets, Patriots, and Broncos -- could outproduce the guys they're ranked ahead of (Marquise Brown, Jamison Crowder, Phillip Lindsay, T.Y. Hilton) because they have such high floors compared to the risky WRs and Lindsay's time-share.

WEEK 5 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Trusting the likes of Allen and other assorted backups/injury worries might not sound fun, but if any of them can throw for two TDs, they'll almost certainly outperform the lower-ranked players in the top 120.
