A three-game Saturday NFL DFS slate is the perfect way to pay off your post-Christmas credit card debts. There are no shortage of viable options from the Buccaneers-Lions, 49ers-Cardinals, and Dolphins-Raiders games, and our DraftKings tournament lineup is centered around a bit of an unconventional Bucs stack.
That's not our boldest strategy move, though. We're completely fading the Cardinals, which means we're in trouble if Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, and Arizona's D/ST go off, which all could easily do. We also have two "questionable" players among our picks, which could mean big payoffs at low ownership or subpar production because of limited snaps. But we're in it to win it, not just sneak above the cash line, so let's take some risks and go for broke.
Week 16 Saturday NFL DFS Lineup: DraftKings tournament picks
QB Tom Brady, Buccaneers @ Lions ($6,800)
Over his past five games, Brady has averaged 297.6 yards and 2.4 passing touchdowns. The yards have been up and down, but the multiple scores has been consistent. Facing a Lions defense allowing the fifth-most DK points to QBs should help him have another strong game, and the potential is there to really go off if his receivers can break a few big plays.
SATURDAY DRAFTKINGS LINEUPS: Bucs-Lions | 49ers-Cardinals | Dolphins-Raiders
RB LeSean McCoy, Buccaneers @ Lions ($4,00)
Leonard Fournette dominated carries last week, but McCoy had three catches and could play more if Tampa jumps out to a big lead. You could argue that's more of a reason to play Ke'Shawn Vaughn, who's the same price, but we'll take our chances with McCoy having more catches, a few carries, and a higher yardage total thanks to his big-play ability. DraftKings' full-point PPR scoring gives McCoy a slightly higher floor.
SATURDAY FANDUEL LINEUPS: Bucs-Lions | 49ers-Cardinals | Dolphins-Raiders
RB Josh Jacobs, Raiders vs. Dolphins ($6,600)
Jacobs is the best RB bet for volume this week if Myles Gaskin (COVID) is active, as the Bucs and 49ers will be playing backup RBs and the Lions, Dolphins, and Cardinals figure to use committees. Jacobs' yardage totals haven't been great lately, but he's still averaged 19.3 carries in his past four full games, and he's chipped in three catches in each of his past three games. Miami's defense isn't as good against the run, so expect Jacobs to once again get ample opportunities.
SATURDAY FULL-SLATE DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel
WR Brandon Aiyuk, 49ers @ Cardinals ($6,700)
Aiyuk has caught 19-of-29 targets over the past two weeks, and in his past six games, he's averaged 7.5 catches and 94.7 yards while scoring four touchdowns. Some DFS players will be scared off by the matchup and C.J. Beathard being under center, but it's clear Aiyuk will remain a big part of San Francisco's offense. In full-point PPR scoring, it's tough to fade him, especially since we're already fading DeAndre Hopkins.
WEEK 16 DFS CASH LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel
WR Mike Evans, Buccaneers @ Lions ($6,100)
Evans remains the best bet among Tampa's WRs for a touchdown, and he's seen consistent targets since Week 8, averaging 7.7 looks per game in that span. Both Chris Godwin ($6,000) and Antonio Brown ($5,300) could go off, too, but we'll take our chances with the more consistent Evans.
WEEK 16 DFS TOURNAMENT LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel
WR DeVante Parker, Dolphins @ Raiders ($5,500)
Parker (hamstring) figures to be "questionable" for this game, but if he's active, he's a relative value against Vegas's subpar pass defense. In his past six full games, Parker has averaged 4.5 catches, 7.8 targets, and 52.2 yards while scoring twice. Those numbers aren't great, but they show Parker gets consistent opportunities. We're hoping his injury scares away others and we get him at depressed ownership.
MORE WEEK 16 DFS: Best stacks | Best values | Lineup Builder
TE George Kittle, 49ers @ Cardinals ($5,000)
We're also hoping to get Kittle, who hasn't played since Week 8 because of a foot injury, at depressed ownership. It's certainly risky to trust Kittle in a meaningless game for the 49ers -- and it's more risky to trust Kittle and Aiyuk in a game where C.J. Beathard is starting -- but if you get a chance to use one of football's most talented TEs at a value price when he might be low owned, you have to do it. Kittle can go off against anyone, and he has shown good chemistry with his old college quarterback in the past. It's tough to fade Darren Waller, especially in full-point PPR scoring, but Kittle can hang with him. We just have to hope Kittle doesn't eat too much into Aiyuk's production and limit his ceiling.
FLEX Marvin Jones Jr., Lions vs. Buccaneers ($4,900)
The Bucs pass defense has really struggled over the past several weeks, and Jones is the type of big-play receiver who can burn Tampa deep. But Jones isn't just a big-play guy. Over the past six games, he's averaged 6.7 receptions, 10 targets, and 78.5 yards while scoring three TDs. He's the Lions' go-to receiver, and with the running game likely to be shut down, you can bet Detroit will be passing often.
DEF Miami Dolphins @ Raiders ($4,000)
Marcus Mariota might start this game for Vegas, and while he looked good for most of last week, he also showed why he's now a backup near the end of the game when he missed several passes and threw an interception. Miami has been one of the best fantasy defenses all year, and they should be able to rattle Mariota or a gimpy Derek Carr (groin) into some mistakes and generate a few sacks. Arizona ($3,300) and Tampa ($3,800) will both be popular plays, with many owners settling on the cheaper Cardinals, so this gives us a little differentiation with just as much upside.
