Week 12 Fantasy Flex Rankings

Week 12 of the fantasy football season is going to be a tough one for start 'em, sit 'em decisions, but in the best possible way. With all 16 teams in action, fantasy owners will be able to choose from their full roster (barring injuries, of course). Fantasy owners will have an excess of viable RBs, WRs, and even TEs for their flex spot. Our Week 12 fantasy flex rankings will help to sort through this deep slate so you can identify the best options.

With no teams on bye, owners will likely use matchups as a tiebreaker in these tough lineup decisions, and there are some favorable ones on the slate. The Falcons and Raiders are squaring off in an interconference clash, and neither team is very good against WRs. That will open up opportunities for Nelson Agholor and Henry Ruggs as well as Russell Gage or Olamide Zaccheaus if Julio Jones' hamstring injury keeps him out of action. Other favorable matchups for receivers include the Eagles (vs. Seahawks) and Panthers (@ Vikings), so feel free to trust Travis Fulgham, Jalen Reagor and Curtis Samuel as flexes in those matchups.

If you're looking for a bit more consistency than those big-play WRs, high-volume RBs are the way to go. There should be no shortage of those this week with Wayne Gallman and Giovani Bernard starting in place of Devonta Freeman (ankle) and Joe Mixon (foot), respectively. Additionally, Gus Edwards should carry the load for the Ravens with Mark Ingram and JK Dobbins out on the COVID list for the Thanksgiving night game.

Always remember that flex RBs tend to have higher floors and flex WRs tend to have higher ceilings. Also, once you've made your final lineup decision, put the player with the latest-starting game into your flex spot. This gives you more flexibility in the event that a last-minute injury happens or if a potential flex play is a surprise inactive. It also protects against any sort of COVID-related issues with the game.
