Week 10 NFL DFS Picks: Best value players, sleepers for FanDuel, DraftKings daily fantasy football lineups image

At this point in the NFL season, we have a general gauge of which teams and players are in exploitable NFL DFS situations. Since the major Week 10 tournaments were released while the Week 9 slate was occurring on both DraftKings and FanDuel, there are a number of advantageous value plays to consider. After a Jaylen Samuels chalk week, there isn’t an obvious free-square play this Sunday (unless Le'Veon Bell is out), but all of the following values/sleepers have massive daily fantasy football upside. Let’s get into it.

NFL DFS Picks Week 10: QB sleepers, values

Kyler Murray, Cardinals at Buccaneers (DraftKings $6,500 | FanDuel $7,700)

There’s a reason why this game has one of the highest totals on the slate. After getting off to a surprisingly-strong defensive start, the Buccaneers defense has faded under the guidance of coordinator Todd Bowles. To highlight that, know that an average of 68.3 total points per game have been scored over the past six Buccaneers games. That’s not a coincidence -- it’s a result of Tampa Bay’s willingness to let Jameis Winston sling the ball all over the field, which creates turnovers and opportunities for the other team to capitalize on. The Cardinals play at the fastest pace in the league (27.65 seconds between plays) and the Bucs have allowed 293.5 passing yards per game (second-highest in NFL), which creates the perfect recipe for Murray to have a huge fantasy day.

Philip Rivers, Chargers at Raiders (DraftKings $5,500 | FanDuel $7,500)

No team has given up more passing yards per game than the  Raiders (297.5), and Rivers has his full complement of offensive weapons healthy to support him. In his first game under new offensive coordinator Shane Steichen, Rivers went 21-for-28 for 294 yards. While he didn’t have a touchdown in that contest, it’s hard to imagine Oakland being able to contain Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Hunter Henry, Austin Ekeler, and Melvin Gordon, all of whom can make an impact in the passing game. If you're playing in contests that include the Thursday night game, Rivers looks good.

Ryan Tannehill, Titans vs. Chiefs (DraftKings $5,100 | FanDuel $7,200)

With Patrick Mahomes (knee) expected back in Week 10, Ryan Tannehill is purely a game-script target. Assuming that the Chiefs' offense clicks, the Titans will likely have to score a good amount of points to keep up. Further, as displayed multiple times in his career, including last week when he rushed for 38 yards and a touchdown, Tannehill can be a dual threat. Since taking over as the starter, Tannehill’s pass attempts have increased (from 29 to 33 to 39). That might not be a coincidence.

Week 10 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: RB sleepers, values

Melvin Gordon, Chargers at Raiders (DraftKings $4,600 | FanDuel $6,600)

It’s safe to say that Gordon is a fan of new offensive coordinator Shane Steichen. Against the Green Bay Packers in Week 9, Gordon rushed the ball 20 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns and also caught three-of-four targets for 29 more yards. It was the first glimpse of the Pro Bowl version of himself that we’ve seen this season, and this is one of the more egregious mispricings of the week (on DraftKings especially). He will be chalky but has massive upside.

Devin Singletary, Bills at Browns (DraftKings $5,000 | FanDuel $6,700)

It finally happened. Singletary took over lead back duties in Buffalo (at least for last week). He broke out in Week 9, carrying the ball 20 times for 95 yards and a touchdown while catching three passes for 45 yards. Meanwhile, Frank Gore carried the ball 11 times for an ineffective 15 yards. At this point, it seems logical for Singletary to see the lion’s share of the snaps at running back for the Bills considering his explosive upside. While Gore might steal snaps in short-yardage and goal-line situations, expect Singetary to continue his surge against the dumpster fire that is the Browns.

Joe Mixon, Bengals vs. Ravens (DraftKings $4,700 | FanDuel $6,100)

So far this season, Joe Mixon has 320 rushing yards on 3.2 yards per carry and no rushing touchdowns for the winless Bengals. That will keep his ownership down, regardless of his price. While he has three receiving touchdowns (19 catches for 110 yards), his overall numbers have been awful due to a combination of a horrendous offensive line and negative game scripts. Although the Ravens are decent against the run, the Bengals are starting rookie quarterback Ryan Finley and are also getting back wideout A.J. Green. That could lead to some more balance for Cincinnati’s offense, which is something that Mixon desperately needs to finally break out.

FanDuel, DraftKings Picks Week 10: WR sleepers, values

JuJu Smith-Schuster, Steelers vs. Rams (DraftKings $5,800 | FanDuel $6,800)

While Smith-Schuster could see shadow coverage from Jalen Ramsey, he’s the unquestioned No. 1 wideout in Pittsburgh and could benefit from a pass-first game script if the Rams get out to an early lead. At just $5,800 on DraftKings, he has massive upside and will likely come in at very low ownership considering he recorded just three catches on five targets for 16 yards in last week’s victory over the Colts. As seen many times in the past, Smith-Schuster has elite jump-ball skills and can make circus catches. Mason Rudolph will likely look his way, and if there’s true man-to-man coverage against him with no help over the top, he always is a touchdown threat even against an elite corner. All it takes is a couple big plays for him to pay off his price tag.

Christian Kirk, Cardinals at Buccaneers (DraftKings $5,200 | FanDuel $5,700)

Assuming that Kyler Murray will be able to put together a huge outing in the air, Kirk will likely be targeted a lot. He’s a great tournament play since he had a dud last time out (two catches on five targets for eight yards). However, he had double-digit target games in three of the five contests before that and has slate-breaking upside. He’s a stellar option on this slate.

Jamison Crowder, Jets vs. Giants (DraftKings $5,000 | FanDuel $6,500)

The Jets may be an absolute mess, but the Sam Darnold-Jamison Crowder connection is real (if you recall, Crowder was targeted 17 times by Darnold in Week 1). Last week, Crowder got off to a hot start and finished with eight catches for 83 yards and a touchdown. Look for him to see a high volume again at a very fair price tag across the industry in Week 10.

WEEK 10 PPR RANKINGS: Running backWide receiver | Tight end

Week 10 NFL DFS Picks: TE sleepers, values

Mike Gesicki, Dolphins at Colts (DraftKings $3,100 | FanDuel $5,300)

Preston Williams (knee) and Mark Walton (suspension) won’t be suiting up for the Dolphins in Week 10, which means that running back Kalen Ballage should see most of the running back snaps, DeVante Parker should see additional targets and Gesicki could be in store for a huge outing in what could be a concentrated offense overall. As seen last week (six catches on six targets for 95 yards), he can produce when given a more prominent workload. Assuming that Ryan Fitzpatrick will air it out quite a bit based on the presumed game script in this contest, Gesicki has double-digit target upside.

Greg Olsen, Panthers at Packers (DraftKings $3,600 | FanDuel $5,100)

While Olsen hasn’t exactly established a consistent connection with Kyle Allen yet, he still remains a viable option based on his price tag across the industry. He’s seen 14 targets and has amassed 105 yards in his last three games combined, which could be worse at a weak position.

Week 10 NFL DFS values: D/ST sleepers

Browns D/ST vs. Bills (DraftKings $2,500 | FanDuel $3,500)

While rostering struggling defenses is never fun, the Browns have a couple factors working in their favor in Week 10. First, they’re playing a must-win game. At 2-6, their season is essentially hanging in the balance. Secondly, they’re playing in front of their home crowd. Finally, Josh Allen has proven to be turnover-prone in his career. Don’t actively target this unit, but you can do a lot worse in this general price range on both sites.

Jets D/ST vs. Giants (DraftKings $2,700 | FanDuel $3,900)

Similar to Jameis Winston, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones routinely cripples his team’s chances by turning the ball over. While the Jets defense has the ability to give up a lot of points on a weekly basis, anytime Jones takes the field, the chance of a pick-six or scoop-and-score makes the opposing defense viable.
