It's a split day in Major League Baseball, and we will be covering the main MLB DFS slate for Wednesday night. FanDuel brings us seven games starting at 6:40 pm ET, and DraftKings and Yahoo carry five contests that lock at 7:05 pm ET. Lucas Giolito will be a popular pitcher on all sites and the bats will be led by the likes of Tim Anderson, Mike Trout, and Jose Altuve. However, there are always some sleeper and value plays that could help you win your respective daily fantasy baseball contests.

Today's MLB DFS Playbook: Lineup picks, tips for Wednesday
SP Lucas Giolito, White Sox (vs. Red Sox). Pitching might be tricky tonight. Giolito has the highest ceiling on all sites, but he is running into a red-hot Red Sox offense and some possible weather issues. He is a fly-ball pitcher and has to face the likes of Rafael Devers and Trevor Story but does come in with an 11 K/9 and as a -170 favorite.
SP Cristian Javier, Astros (vs. Guardians). Javier has run into some bad luck this season and comes into tonight's game with a solid 2.87 ERA and 1.02 WHIP. However, he is better at home with a 0.50 ERA, 0.72 WHIP, and 11 K/9. Javier is coming off his best start of the year where he threw six innings (91 pitches), struck out nine, and allowed only one earned run against Texas.
C Christian Vasquez, Red Sox (@ White Sox). Vazquez is hitting .450 over his past seven days and is coming off a three-hit game last night that included a home run and three RBIs. It's a tough matchup against Giolito, but he will be a nice minimum-priced addition to low-owned Red Sox stacks.
1B Jose Abreu, White Sox (vs. Red Sox). Abreu hit his second home run in the past four games last night and is hitting .346 over his past seven games with five extra-base hits. He has near-elite platoon splits against lefthanded pitchers (Rich Hill) with a .283 ISO/.412 wOBA and .315 average.
2B Marcus Semien, Rangers (@ Angels). Semien is slowly hitting better after a horrible .157 batting average in April. He is batting .290 over the past seven days, and tonight he's sub $4K on DK with the RvL advantage (Reid Detmers) -- .233 ISO/.358 wOBA.
3B Anthony Rendon, Angels (vs. Rangers). If you are starting Javier, then Rendon can be used as a high dollar pivot from Jose Ramirez. He had a maintenance day off yesterday and should be back tonight as he is slashing .361/.425/.556 over the past 10 games.
SS Ramon Urias, Orioles (@ Yankees). Urias is hitting .290 over the past week with a .357 OBP. Shortstop is a pay-up position tonight, but if you need to go value, he might be the safest play against Yankees' rookie J.P. Sears making his first major league start.
OF Andrew Vaughn, White Sox (vs. Red Sox). Vaughn is too cheap on all sites tonight and is another underappreciated bat. He is hitting .400 with a .455 OBP over the past seven days and has a solid .290 average on the season with four home runs and 14 RBIs. With a .263 ISO/.392 wOBA against lefthanded pitchers, Vaughn is in play in all formats tonight.
