Sunday Night Football FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 8 Bills-Packers single-game tournaments image

In the last game of the Week 8 Sunday NFL slate, the 5-1 Buffalo Bills look to add to their lead in the AFC East standings, welcoming in the reeling 3-4 Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC). The Bills enter this cross-conference battle as 11-point favorites, with the over/under set at 47 total points. This primetime matchup features numerous big-named players on both sides of the field, making it enjoyable for DFS players to throw a FanDuel single-game lineup together to cap off their weekend.

Let's dive into our FanDuel Single Game Showdown for Sunday Night Football. Here are the notable scoring settings for FanDuel single-game contests:

  • The point total for the "MVP" is multiplied by 1.5, but he doesn't cost any additional money like the "Captain" in DraftKings Showdown contests.
  • FanDuel's default scoring is half-point PPR and four-point passing TDs.
  • Unlike on DraftKings, FanDuel features no bonuses for 300-yard/100-yard games

FanDuel Single Game DFS Picks: Bills vs. Packers Sunday Night Football

$60,000 budget; must roster at least one player from each team

MVP (1.5x points): RB Devin Singletary, Bills ($12,000)

Singletary's separated himself as the Bills' lead back and makes for an under-the-radar MVP at $12,000. He played on 86 percent of the Bills' offensive snaps in Buffalo's most recent game against the Chiefs in Week 6 and looks to be in line for a good deal of touches on Sunday Night. With Buffalo pegged as double-digit favorites, a positive game script helps Singletary's chances of impacting the game. He's scored just one touchdown on the season but is a threat to reach paydirt in Buffalo's potent offense.

FLEX QB Josh Allen, Bills ($17,500)

Not much needs to be said about rostering Allen as he's always a threat to throw for 300-plus yards while tossing multiple passing touchdowns. Allen currently leads all QBs in adjusted yards per attempt (8.6) and true passer rating (106.5) as very well defenses can slow him down over four quarters. A twenty-plus-point fantasy showing is almost guaranteed.

WEEK 8 STANDARD RANKINGS
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

FLEX WR Gabe Davis, Bills ($12,500)

Davis' home-run ability makes him a volatile addition to showdown contests, but ultimately we think his boom capability outweighs his bust potential. Davis leads all WRs in yards per reception (27.4) and yards per target (14.7) along with sporting the fourth-highest average depth of target (16.4 aDOT). A 75-plus receiving-yard output coupled with a receiving touchdown is certainly in the cards.

WEEK 8 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel

FLEX WR, Romeo Doubs, Packers ($11,500)

Doubs didn't log a single fantasy point last week, despite leading all Packers' wideouts in snap percentage (89 percent). Doubs did draw four targets, and given the Packers are likely going to maintain a more pass-heavy approach as 11-point road underdogs, he could see six-to-seven targets this week. With fellow WR Allen Lazard (shoulder) trending toward missing SNF, look for Doubs to be a featured piece in the Packers' passing game.

WEEK 8 PPR RANKINGS
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

FLEX WR Amari Rodgers, Packers ($6,500)

Amari Rodgers is another Packers pass catcher who is in line to see an increased snap rate with Lazard likely out. Rodgers played 16 snaps this past week and drew three targets. Rodgers is the team's main punt returner, but with injuries piling up at wide receiver, someone's going to have to run routes. At $6,500 he's got a chance to outperform his salary and makes for a cheap add with upside.
