It's a good thing this is the final week of the fantasy football regular season because we're running out of waiver wire options. Well, not really, but the top Week 14 fantasy waiver pickups and free agent adds don't inspire a ton of confidence if you're in a must-win situation. Guys like Zonovan Knight, Cam Akers, James Cook, DeeJay Dallas, and Tony Jones Jr. can certainly help, but are they really worth getting into bidding wars over? You might just as easily be able to find difference-makers after waivers clear around 4-5 a.m. ET on Wednesday mornings in Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
That's why it's important to check out our full free agent list, which features some worthwhile stashes (Greg Dulcich, Nico Collins, Jameson Williams) and a slew of potential one-week wonders who could save you in Week 14, including Tyler Huntley, Jared Goff, DJ Chark, Mack Hollins, Trey McBride, and Hunter Henry. Streamers will definitely be needed next week with six teams on bye (Commanders, Bears, Falcons, Packers, Colts, Saints), so we've grouped our suggestions by position and placed them at the end of this list.
Again, this isn't the most impressive crop of potential waiver-wire pickups, but someone is bound to use a high waiver claim on Knight, Akers, Cook, and the Seattle handcuffs. Owners in must-win situations -- or even just those stockpiling for the postseason -- tend to bid high on potentially useful players this time of year. If you don't want/need one of those RBs, you should hold your claims back and move up the priority list, as there will likely be more late-season breakouts coming in the next few weeks.
WEEK 14 FANTASY: Full waiver list | FAAB advice
We always caution against using a waiver claim on a streamer, but if your season is on the line and you feel a certain QB, WR, or TE will make-or-break your chances of reaching the postseason, then by all means go for it. Chances are, there is more than one viable option and you'll be just fine waiting until free agency, but waiver claims are useless in the consolation bracket, so do what you have to do.

Top fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 14
Unless otherwise noted, only players owned in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo leagues are considered.
James Cook, RB, Bills. Cook ran for 64 yards on a team-high 14 carries last Thursday, and even more notable, he caught all six of his targets for 41 yards. Devin Singletary played just one more snap, but clearly, Cook is closing the gap. There's a chance he continues to see more playing time and supplants Singletary down the stretch, so grab him now if he's available. He should work as a flex this week against the Jets.
Tyler Huntley, QB, Ravens. Huntley took over in the first quarter for an injured Lamar Jackson (knee) last week, finishing with 187 passing yards, 41 rushing yards, and a rushing TD against Denver's vaunted defense. His dual-threat skillset gives him a decent floor in favorable matchups like this week's showdown against the Steelers. Pittsburgh entered Week 13 allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to QBs, so Huntley is a viable streaming option if you're hurting at quarterback. If Jackson is out for an extended period, Huntley could continue to have value, as he has highly favorable matchups in Weeks 16 and 17, too (Falcons, Steelers).

Trent Sherfield, WR, Dolphins. Sherfield caught one-of-three targets for 75 yards and a TD against the 49ers, but with Jaylen Waddle clearly slowed by a leg injury most of the game, Sherfield might find himself in a bigger role in Week 14 against the Chargers. He can clearly have value even when Waddle is healthy, and he's worth a speculative add on the chance that Waddle misses time.

Jameson Williams, WR, Lions. Williams made his NFL debut in Week 13, and even though he didn't see many snaps or register a target, it's only a matter of time before he makes an impact. He should gradually play more over the final five games, and his big-play potential gives him plenty of upside in all formats. He profiles as a possible flex in a highly favorable matchup against the Vikings this week.
Nico Collins, WR, Texans. Collins scored in garbage time last week, but he was frequently peppered with targets throughout the game. He finished with three catches (10 targets) for 35 yards, and he'll likely continue to see frequent looks as long as Brandin Cooks (calf) is out. A highly favorable fantasy playoff schedule awaits in Weeks 15-17 (Chiefs, Titans, Jaguars), so grabbing Collins now makes a lot of sense. He could even work as a low-end PPR flex in a tough matchup this week against Dallas.
