Coming off a terrible Week 2, Cam Newton looks like a question mark for Week 3 after aggravating his preseason foot injury. We could be looking at Kyle Allen crashing the Week 3 QB rankings pretty soon. Elsewhere, there continue to be new developments in the Antonio Brown situation that leave fantasy owners waiting to see what happens next in a situation much bigger than fantasy football.

Will Cam Newton play Week 3?
Newton was in a walking boot on Tuesday, teammate Eric Reid told reporters, with Newton apparently aggravatin his foot injury from the preseason in Thursday night's loss to the Buccaneers. Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Newton is uncertain for Week 3, and he announced that Kyle Allen would start if Newton is inactive Sunday in Arizona.
Newton looked brutal on Thursday night passing and showed an unwillingness to run. At least relative to that performance, Allen probably wouldn't be a huge downgrade. Allen started in Week 17 last year and held his own, and the Cardinals are a plus matchup. You won't be starting Allen in fantasy, but your Panthers' skill-position players are still fine options.

Antonio Brown update
Brown caught four passes and a touchdown in Week 2 in his New England debut. His status is still week-to-week as the NFL investigates rape investigations against him. The NFL met for 10 hours Monday with Brown's accuser, Brittney Taylor, according to Sports Illustrated.
Brown is a must-start in fantasy as long as he's active, and if the NFL decides to punish him, it should become very obvious whether he's a drop or a hold, depending on the length of the punishment. You might not like owning Brown, but his trade value is too low and his fantasy potential is too strong to avoid playing him while he remains active. If Brown were to be put on the Exempt List, expect Phillip Dorsett to see a big uptick in snaps and targets. Josh Gordon would also become a clear every-week play.
