With six teams on a bye week, it's tough to find legit sleepers in our Week 7 fantasy TE PPR rankings. The good-to-great tight ends must be started regardless of matchup, so while matchups mean next-to-nothing at the top, they mean everything as we move down the rankings.
We've gotten to the point where even the struggling TEs like T.J. Hockenson (@ Rams) remain must-starts -- especially in a week where Dalton Schultz, Dawson Knox, Jared Cook, Tyler Conklin, Pat Freiermuth, and Dan Arnold are out of commission. The same goes for fringe studs like Mike Gesicki (vs. Falcons) and Tyler Higbee (Lions).
WEEK 7 STANDARD RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
Ross Dwelley (vs. Colts) should see some kind of role in the absence of George Kittle (calf), and the Colts have been one of the top-five most generous defense against TEs. C.J. Uzomah (@ Ravens) has only shown up twice this year, but Baltimore is also among the five worst defenses against TEs. Ricky Seals-Jones (@ Packers) remains a top streaming candidate, as he was once again heavily targeted in a big game against Kansas City. Green Bay is a middle-of-the-pack team against tight ends, but Seals-Jones' targets are valuable.
WEEK 7 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | D/ST | Kicker
It's worth noting the newest Cardinal, Zach Ertz (vs. Texans), has seen his ownership numbers climb, but you can play him right away if he's still available in your leagues. If there is any week for preseason darlings Anthony Firkser (vs. Chiefs) and Adam Trautman (@ Seahawks) to actually show up, it would be this week. Still, it's tough to trust them based on what we've seen so far, as it's even tougher to trust them in PPR leagues, as they're likely TD-or-bust candidates. For now, consider them nothing more than DFS options.
WEEK 7 FANTASY: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em
We're advising you to sit Gerald Everett (vs. Saints), David Njoku (vs. Broncos), and Mo Alie-Cox (@ 49ers), as their matchups haven't allowed many fantasy points to the position. Evan Engram (vs. Panthers) may have a decent fantasy day due to the injuries to other Giants' pass-catchers, but Carolina has been stingy against tight ends except for Dalton Schultz.
WEEK 7 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo
Rob Gronkowski (vs. Bears) might be back this week, and you can go ahead and trust him immediately if that's the case. Dallas Goedert, assuming he's off the COVID/reserve list gets a boost to his season-long value now that Ertz is out of town. (Update: Goedert will play, but Gronk is once again out. O.J. Howard is a decent stream in Gronk's place.)

We can survive another tough week of byes, but lean on target shares, red-zone targets, and matchups when making start 'em, sit 'em decisions.
