Fantasy Injury Updates Week 13: News on Breece Hall, Ezekiel Elliott impacting start-sit decisions image

The beauty of fantasy football is that it doesn't matter how ugly the games are or how bad the teams might be -- every play is significant to someone (especially in a week with six byes and Jonathan Taylor and Aaron Jones already ruled out). That's where we're at with this Week 13 RB injury update with Breece Hall and Ezekiel Elliott. The Jets and Patriots are both horrendous football teams with offenses that would set the sport back 100 years, but here we are, searching for information related to both teams. While fans of each team have longed since checked out and started eyeing the upcoming draft in April, fantasy owners are here, hoping an inactive designation doesn't ruin a promising season.

Below, we'll give you the latest news on these key RBs and break down how their injuries could potentially affect the Week 13 fantasy landscape.

Is Breece Hall playing Week 13?

UPDATE: Hall is officially ACTIVE

Hall (hamstring) is officially listed as "questionable" ahead of the Jets clash with the Falcons at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. He popped up on the injury report with the hamstring issue, logging limited practices on Wednesday and Thursday before upgrading to a full participant on Friday. Barring a setback, the RB will suit up against the Falcons in what promises to be an ugly game. It's forecasted to be a cold, rainy day at MetLife Stadium, meaning Hall could be extra busy with Dalvin Cook (shoulder) and Izzy Abanikanda (illness) also listed as "questionable."

WEEK 13 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

The Jets offense doesn't present much upside at this point in the season, struggling to score touchdowns every week. This is a softer matchup with Atlanta coming to town, but it's still no walk in the park. However, with Tim Boyle under center, Hall should continue to be one of the more consistent options available from a fantasy standpoint. Considering Hall is also coming off a torn ACL, it wouldn't be shocking to see the Jets try to manage the second-year RB's practice and in-game workload since this will be his first full NFL season if he remains healthy. Regardless, start Hall anyway because his upside as a runner and receiver is too high to pass up.

Is Ezekiel Elliott playing Week 13?

UPDATE: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday morning that Elliott is expected to play against the Chargers.

UPDATE 2: Elliott is officially ACTIVE.

Elliott (thigh) turned in three limited practices to earn a "questionable" designation for Sunday's contest against the Chargers at 1 p.m. ET. That would appear to indicate that the RB will play, but Elliott is not going to be confused with his former self.

WEEK 13 FANTASY ADVICE:
Sleepers | Busts | Projections | Start-sit

The reality is that he remains firmly behind Rhamondre Stevenson on the depth chart and unless something happens to RB1, Elliott's impact might depend on whether he can get into the end zone. The Chargers are tied for the ninth-most fantasy points per game to RBs, and with six teams on bye this week, deep-leaguers might need to rely on Elliott and his 10 touches in their flex spot this week.
