Two upper-echelon tight ends, Zach Ertz and Cole Kmet, got banged up during game action in Week 10. With the TE position already thin, these guys will play a key role in the latter parts of the fantasy football regular season, so staying up to date on their injury stauses is crucial.

Zach Ertz injury update, Week 11 fantasy outlook

UPDATE: Ertz suffered a season-ending knee injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Ertz (knee) was carted off the field toward the end of the first quarter of the Cardinal's 27-17 win over the Rams in Week 10. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Ertz is expected to miss multiple weeks but likely avoided an ACL tear.

Losing the second-most targeted TE (68 targets) in the most crucial weeks of the fantasy regular season is a huge blow, as Ertz was one of the most consistent TEs this season. We'll see if Ertz can make a return during the fantasy playoffs, but his multi-week loss lessens the TE talent pool that much more. Second-round pick Trey McBride is now the Cardinals' go-to TE, but until he produces in a larger role he's only worth a bench stash. Ertz owners could look to pick up widely available TEs Foster Moreau, Robert Tonyan, and Isaiah Likely in his absence.

Cole Kmet injury update, Week 11 fantasy outlook

Kmet (thigh) took a hit to his lower body in yesterday's 31-30 loss to the Lions, but according to the Bears' sideline reporter for 670TheScore Mark Grote, Kmet says he’s a “little banged up”, but that he’ll be “fine.”

If that's the case, it's a big relief for the ascending third-year TE who's scored five TDs over the past three weeks, sitting as the overall TE1 from Weeks 8-10. Kmet profiles as a must-start in a solid matchup against a Falcons defense sitting toward the bottom half of the league in most FPPG allowed to TEs (10.7).
