With the final week of preseason action upon us, fantasy football owners are doing last-minute checks on the latest injury updates for key players. Treylon Burks and Drake London are just a couple of the rookie sleepers who have big upsides but nagging preseason injuries. Meanwhile, veteran Chris Godwin is working his way back from a right ACL injury, and his fantasy outlook is of the utmost importance given his relatively lofty spot in 2022 WR rankings.
Below we'll give you the latest news on these three wide receivers and break down how their injuries could affect their fantasy outlooks heading into the season.
DOMINATE YOUR DRAFT: Ultimate 2022 fantasy cheat sheet
Treylon Burks injury update
The Titans' first-round pick was not at practice on Thursday morning, according to ESPN's Turron Davenport. However, Burks was seen on an exercising bike, which makes sense as he had a wrap on his leg after the team's last preseason game against the Buccaneers. The former Arkansas standout had one reception for four yards vs. Tampa Bay.
It has not been an easy training camp for the rookie wide receiver, who had an outstanding last season at Arkansas and had a ton of buzz during the draft process. The Titans are hoping that Burks can eventually become the replacement for star wide receiver A.J. Brown, who was traded on draft night to the Eagles.
The 23-year-old rookie will likely start the season as the Titans' third receiver behind Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, but given his talent, he could quickly rise up the depth chart. SN Fantasy has Burks ranked 46th among WRs in standard and No. 48 in PPR formats heading into this season. The young wideout has a lot of work ahead of him after not doing much in preseason, but he's still a solid bench stash coming out of your draft.

Drake London injury update
ESPN's Michael Rothstein reported Thursday that London was among the five Falcons players who were not at the early portion of practice. London has been sidelined with a knee injury that he suffered in the team's preseason opener on Aug. 12 against the Lions. Atlanta head coach Arthur Smith said a couple of days after the game that London's injury was "not a long-term thing." The good news for the Falcons is we are still a couple weeks away from the start of the regular season, which means there's still enough time for London to be ready.
London was the first wide receiver drafted this past spring and will likely play a significant role in the Falcons' offense. The team still has second-year tight end Kyle Pitts, but they will need to find a way to replace the production of Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage. The former USC standout can be the secondary option in the passing game for Marcus Mariota when he's healthy. SN Fantasy has London ranked 44th among wide receivers in standard and 45th in PPR formats. Despite his lingering knee injury, London is still a flier in the later rounds of fantasy drafts who could outproduce his price tag.

Chris Godwin injury update
Godwin did not practice on Thursday, which means that he's unlikely to play in the team's preseason finale against the Colts, per ESPN's Jenna Laine. Godwin has been working his way back from a torn right ACL late last season. He's taken a ton of steps in his recovery during training camp, which could signify his return to the field sooner rather than later. Last season, Godwin had 98 receptions (127 targets) for 1,103 yards and five touchdowns.

If Godwin misses a couple of games during the first month of the season, the Buccaneers can lean on new wide receivers Russell Gage and Julio Jones. Both veteran receivers will play an integral to the success of Tampa Bay's passing game and give Godwin more time to get up to speed. Last season, the former Penn State standout had five games with 100-plus receiving yards and eight games with double-digit fantasy points in standard leagues. Once he's healthy and ready to go, do not be surprised to see Godwin as one of the top WR2s in fantasy football this season.
