Fantasy Injury Updates: Latest news on Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, Russell Wilson affecting Week 15 QB rankings image

It was a bad week for quarterbacks. Lamar Jackson (knee) didn't even play, and Kyler Murray (knee), Russell Wilson (concussion), Mike White (ribs), Kenny Pickett (concussion), and Tyler Huntley (concussion) were all banged up during their respective games. While most of those QBs aren't high on the fantasy radar ahead of the playoffs, their absences will affect not only the QB rankings but also start 'em, sit 'em decisions at other positions. Staying on top of these QBs' latest injury updates is key before locking in your lineups.

Below, we'll give you the latest news on the most fantasy-relevant of these QBs and break down how their injuries could potentially affect the Week 15 fantasy landscape. Lamar Jackson injury update, Week 15 fantasy outlook

UPDATE: Jackson didn't practice on Tuesday.

Jackson (knee) missed Baltimore's Week 14 win over Pittsburgh after suffering a sprained PCL in Week 13. Jackson failed to practice last week and is more than likely going to be unavailable for a second straight week.

When ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Jackson suffered a sprained PCL, he added that it typically costs players one-to-three weeks. It's still unclear exactly how severe the sprain is, so monitoring Jackson's practice availability this week is key. Additionally, backup QB Tyler Huntley exited the Ravens' Week 15 contest with a head injury and remains in concussion protocol. If both Jackson and Huntley are unavailable this week, rookie Anthony Brown is slated to make his first career start. Brown is not a fantasy option against the Browns, and his presence would kill the value of Baltimore's wide receivers.

Kyler Murray injury update, Week 15 fantasy outlook

UPDATE: It was announced Tuesday afternoon that Murray suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season.

Murray (knee) was carted off the field during Arizona's first drive after suffering a non-contact knee injury. After the game, head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Murray is feared to have torn his ACL.

Murray had missed two of the Cardinals' past four games with a hamstring issue, and now a likely ACL injury ends his season. Colt McCoy takes over as the team's QB1 for the remainder of the regular season but is nothing more than a low-end two-QB/superflex option behind Arizona's porous offensive line.

Russell Wilson injury update, Week 15 fantasy outlook

Wilson (head) exited Denver's 34-28 Week 14 loss to Kansas City in the fourth quarter and is currently in the league's concussion protocol. We'll see if Wilson's able to clear protocol ahead of Denver's Week 15 matchup against the Cardinals, but if he can't, then Brett Rypien will start under center.

Rypien started for Denver back in Week 7 when Wilson dealt with a hamstring issue and couldn't muster much offense. Rypien remains off the fantasy radar in Week 15 even in a favorable matchup. Conversely, Wilson would profile as a viable streaming option should he get the green light to play.
