WEEK 6 FANTASY PICKS: Sleepers | Busts | Start 'em, sit 'em

Keenan Allen injury update, Week 6 fantasy outlook

Allen (hamstring) went through individual drills on Wednesday ahead of the Chargers' Week 6 matchup against the Broncos on Monday night, according to beat writer Daniel Popper.

The veteran wide receiver has missed the past four games because of the hamstring injury he suffered in Week 1. Allen looked like he would play last week until he aggravated the injury in practice. If Allen can make it through a couple of practices to finish the week, he should be slotted in as WR2/3 in a tough matchup against Denver on Monday night. However, if Allen is still not ready to play, Josh Palmer would be on the flex bubble as the No. 3 or 4 target behind WR Mike Williams, RB Austin Ekeler, and maybe TE Gerald Everett.

Chris Olave injury update, Week 6 fantasy outlook

Olave did not practice on Wednesday after suffering a concussion in last week's win against the Seahawks.

The rookie wide receiver joined Jarvis Landry and Michael Thomas as DNPs on the Week 6 injury report. If Olave cannot go on Sunday against Cincinnati, fantasy owners might have to kick the tires on Marquez Callaway or Tre'Quan Smith, but it really depends on which players are active. Olave is the least likely of the Saints' ailing WRs to play, so plan to look elsewhere for your WR2.

Tee Higgins injury update, Week 6 fantasy outlook

UPDATE 2: Higgins (ankle) returned to practice in a limited fashion, boosting his prospects of suiting up in Week 6.

UPDATE: Higgins isn't participating in practice on Thursday but was seen working off to the side, according to ESPN's Ben Baby.

Higgins (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday after he aggravated his injury early in last week's contest against the Ravens.

Head coach Zac Taylor told reporters on Monday that the young wide receiver is day-to-day with the ankle injury, but it's not a great sign to see him as a DNP. Higgins has been hampered by this injury since Week 4 against the Dolphins. If Higgins can make it through a practice over the next two days, he has a chance to suit up and be a WR2/3 against the Saints. However, you have to err on the side of caution because he might not play on Sunday. Therefore, veteran wide receiver Tyler Boyd should be on your radar as a WR3/flex option.

Michael Thomas injury update, Week 6 fantasy outlook

Thomas (toe) was among the Saints wide receivers who did not practice on Wednesday ahead of their Week 6 matchup against the Bengals.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Thomas was likely to return against the Bengals, but the early DNP is not a great sign. If Thomas practices on Thursday, we could see him suiting up for the first time since Week 3. The Saints would love to have him back on the field, especially with the uncertainty surrounding the availability of Olave (concussion) and Landry (ankle). If Thomas plays, lock him in as a WR2/3 in a tough matchup against the Bengals, who are allowing 21.7 FPPG to WRs this season (sixth fewest in the NFL). However, if Thomas cannot go, owners might have to pivot to Marquez Callaway or Tre'Quan Smith.

Rashod Bateman injury update, Week 6 fantasy outlook

UPDATE 2: Bateman (foot) missed practice again on Friday, according to the Ryan Mink of the Ravens. He's looking like he'll miss his second-straight game this Sunday against the Giants.

UPDATE: Bateman (foot) failed to participate in Thursday's practice, according to the Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec.

Bateman (foot) was among several Ravens players who did not practice on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.

The second-year wide receiver missed last week's game against the Bengals, but Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Bateman might be back this week. If that's the case, Bateman would give the Ravens an added boost at wide receiver because they are not getting production from anybody else outside of Devin Duvernay. However, if Bateman does not practice for the rest of the week, look out for Duvernay to have upwards of five or more targets against the Giants on Sunday and receive some flex consideration.

Drake London injury update, Week 6 fantasy outlook

London (knee) was not seen on the Falcons' injury report for Wednesday, which is a good sign for him playing on Sunday against the Buccaneers.

The rookie wide receiver picked up a knee injury in last week's loss against the Buccaneers but managed to produce four receptions (seven targets) for 35 yards. He'd return to a tough matchup, as the 49ers' have only allowed two touchdowns to WRs this season. London might be on the radar for fantasy owners as a volume-based flex option, but he's no sure thing.
