Gus Edwards injury update, Week 12 fantasy outlook

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Monday that he's hopeful Edwards (hamstring) will be back Sunday, according to beat writer Jonas Shaffer. The veteran running back has missed the past two games because of a soft-tissue injury.

There was a belief that Edwards could've played last week after practicing in a limited fashion ahead of the Ravens' Week 11 matchup against the Panthers. He was listed as "questionable" heading into the game but was ultimately ruled out. If Edwards does not suffer any setbacks and practices in full this week, we could see him on Sunday against the Jaguars. However, if he's not 100 percent, we should expect to see Kenyan Drake starting in the backfield. Drake had 46 yards on 10 carries in last week's win over the Panthers. Whoever starts will be a flex this week against a Jaguars' defense that allows the 14th-most fantasy points per game to RBs.

Leonard Fournette injury update, Week 12 fantasy outlook

Fournette exited the Bucs' Week 10 matchup against the Seahawks with a hip pointer. However, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the vet running back is likely to be ready for the Bucs' game against the Browns in Week 12.

The Bucs having a bye last week offered much-needed rest for Fournette, who might've been sidelined with the hip injury if Tampa Bay had to play in Week 11. It will be interesting to see how much the veteran practices throughout the week. If Fournette can't play, rookie Rachaad White is the undisputed leader in the backfield for Week 12. The rookie running back ran the ball well in the Bucs' win over the Seahawks, recording a career-high 105 yards on 22 carries. The Athletic's Greg Auman said last week he expects White to start, which is not surprising given how he played a couple of weeks ago against the Seahawks. Nevertheless, both backs should get ample touches in a favorable matchup against a Browns' defense that allows the second-most fantasy points per game to RBs this season.
