Fantasy Football Week 13 Rankings: Quarterback image

Our Week 13 fantasy QB rankings don't stray too far from last week's. We're still dealing with a number of injuries, a bunch of backup QBs in solid matchups, and trying to figure out how injuries to other players are affecting QB play.  We do our best to sort all of these out, but besides predicting these quarterback outlooks, we predict many updates as the week goes on.

C.J. Beathard (knee) was the latest QB to go down last week, and Jimmy Garoppolo (@ Bears) is suddenly an intriguing streamer pick. Jameis Winston (shoulder) is close to returning, and he gets a nice matchup against the Packers, but we're leaving Ryan Fitzpatrick in for now. In addition, Jay Cutler (concussion) may return, and it's up in the air in Denver, with Paxton Lynch (ankle), Trevor Siemian and maybe even Brock Osweiler all viable candidates to start in a favorable matchup against the Dolphins.

For streamers, fantasy owners could stick to the usual play a QB against the Colts (Blake Bortles), Bucs (Brett Hundley) or Raiders (Eli Manning Update: Geno Smith), but can you trust those three? And notable streaming QBs Matt Ryan (vs. Vikings), Dak Prescott (vs. Redskins) and Andy Dalton (vs. Steelers) all have tough matchups this week. On the good side, Philip Rivers (vs. Browns) continues to dominate poor matchups, getting another one this week, and Russell Wilson and Carson Wentz seem matchup-proof despite the tough matchups pitted against each other.

Outside the top 10, it's a tricky bunch to sort out, but our Week 13 rankings will help pick the right QB to push your fantasy team into playoffs.

Week 13 Fantasy Football Rankings: QBs

These rankings are for standard leagues with 6-point passing TDs.

Tom Brady, Patriots @ Bills
Kirk Cousins, Redskins @ Cowboys
Carson Wentz, Eagles @ Seahawks
Jared Goff, Rams @ Cardinals. Goff's road and home splits are nearly identical, with his road splits slightly better. Against the teams in the top four in terms of fantasy points allowed to QBs, Goff has scored 32 points (Texans), 36 points (Giants), and 29 points (49ers), respectively. The Cardinals allow the sixth most, and he has a road game against them this week.
Philip Rivers, Chargers vs. Browns. With multiple TDs in his past three games, Rivers has been on fire lately, throwing for 434 yards last week. The Browns are the Browns, and Rivers can easily make it four straight multi-TD games with a ton of passing yards.
Russell Wilson, Seahawks vs. Eagles.
Drew Brees, Saints vs. Panthers.
Marcus Mariota, Titans vs. Texans.  One of these days, Mariota will finally break out in a good matchup. He failed last week, but he gets the best matchup possible this week. The Texans allow the most fantasy points to QBs (21 FPPG), and before Joe Flacco's zero-TD game Monday night, they had given up 12 passing TDs in four games.
Cam Newton, Panthers @ Saints.
Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers @ Bengals.
Alex Smith, Chiefs @ Jets. Smith has been trending -- no, falling -- downward for the past two weeks, throwing one TD and three interceptions. The fourth-highest scoring QB this season has put a combined 22 fantasy points in two weeks, and the Jets aren't really slouches, allowing only less than 200 passing yards and only one touchdown in the past two games.
Derek Carr, Raiders vs. Giants. Since scoring 36 fantasy points in Week 7, Carr has averaged 16 fantasy points. He gets the Giants, ranked third-worst at stopping QBs in fantasy, but he suffers with the loss of Michael Crabtree (suspension) and possibly Amari Cooper (concussion).
Case Keenum, Vikings @ Falcons.  It's time to start taking Keenum seriously as an every-week fantasy QB.  He's got a relatively tough test against the Falcons, but then again, he did as well against the Redskins and Rams. In a similar matchup this week, Keenum is starter-worthy, throwing an average of 288 yards, two TDs in his past four games.
Josh McCown, Jets vs. Chiefs
Jameis Winston, Bucs @ Packers
Matthew Stafford, Lions @ Ravens
Dak Prescott, Cowboys vs. Redskins.  While this is a extremely good matchup, Prescott and the Cowboys offense has struggled mightily without Ezekiel Elliott. The Redskins allow the fifth-most fantasy points to QBs, but it's tough to see the Cowboys offense finding its new identity without Zeke this week.
Matt Ryan, Falcons vs. Vikings
Andy Dalton, Bengals vs. Steelers
Tyrod Taylor, Bills vs. Patriots.  The Patriots are allowing an average of 12 FPPG to QBs in their past four games, and Taylor didn't look all that great last week, throwing one touchdown and less than 150 yards.
Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers @ Bears.  He threw a touchdown in the short time he played last week, and if he plays this week, he's got a relatively solid matchup against this week.  He's definitely worth a shot in two-QB leagues and deep fantasy leagues.
Trevor Siemian, Broncos @ Dolphins
Joe Flacco, Ravens vs. Lions
Blake Bortles, Jaguars vs. Colts
Jacoby Brissett, Colts @ Jaguars
Jay Cutler, Dolphins vs. Broncos
Blaine Gabbert, Cardinals vs. Rams
Brett Hundley, Packers vs. Bucs
DeShone Kizer, Browns @ Chargers
Geno Smith, Giants @ Raiders
Tom Savage, Texans vs. Titans
Mitchell Trubisky, Bears vs. 49ers
