Trade talks usually start to heat up in fantasy football leagues ahead of Week 3. Sure, plenty of owners are still reluctant to make moves this early in the season, but others feel as if they have a good handle on their team needs and look to address their problems sooner rather than later. Regardless of your approach in the past, you should always be searching for prime buy-low, sell-high guys and potential opportunities to improve your team. Fortunately, Fantasy Pros is once again here to help with tips and trade advice in their Week 3 Stock Watch that includes Joe Mixon, Kyle Pitts, Robert Woods, AJ Dillon, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire, among others.
The key to making any trade this early in the season is offering relatively fair deals that addresses the needs of both sides. Far too many owners make one-sided deals, trying to pawn off their bench filler for a star who's been slightly underperforming. Worse is when an owner treats a hot-starting youngster such as Jahan Dotson as if he's just on the same level as someone like Deebo Samuel. Dotson is a nice player, but he should never be the centerpiece of a trade.
Even if you're looking to make a deal, you have to realize that what looks like a position of strength in Week 3 might be an area of need in Week 6. Once byes kick in and injuries start to mount, you never know how your team will be affected, so don't sell out one position to fill another another you're getting exceptional value.

WEEK 3 WAIVERS: Top pickups
Week 3 Fantasy Trade Advice: Buy-low trade candidates
By Andrew Erickson, Fantasy Pros
Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals. Mixon didn’t score for a second straight week, which might have some fantasy owners frustrated. Let them be --and take full advantage. For a second straight week, Mixon played 73 percent or more of Cincinnati's offensive snaps. He totaled 22 touches last week despite the Bengals trailing throughout. His lack of receiving and third-down work was way overblown this offseason. Buy him while the consensus is low on an 0-2 Bengals squad. The Jets in Week 3 figure to cure all wounds.
Kyle Pitts, TE, Falcons. Pitts has been non-existent in the Falcons offense through two weeks, but the fact that Drake London has been so productive suggests this offense under Marcus Mariota can support a viable fantasy weapon. Buy low.
AJ Dillon, RB, Packers. Dillon led the Packers in targets (6), not Aaron Jones (5), in Week 1. Dillon also out-touched Jones 15 to eight, continuing the usage trend from last season. Jones’ production is going to be heavily reliant on him as a receiver out of the backfield. My advice would be the sell Jones after a spiked week in production and buy Dillon before the market realizes he is the traditional RB1 with goal-line duties in the Packers offense. That spiked week happened in Week 2 with Jones going off against the Bears, but again, the usage. Snaps were 50/50 again with Dillon, and the younger back had more carries (18 vs. 15) and the same number of targets (3).

Week 3 Fantasy Trade Advice: Sell-high trade candidates
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Chiefs. CEH has averaged 11 touches per game over the first two weeks. Yes, he’s been efficient on his opportunities against two extremely soft run defenses, but concerns about how he will fare without volume in tougher matchups. He's still a sell-high option.

Allen Robinson, WR, Rams. Robinson was heavily involved again from a playing time standpoint for the Rams in Week 2, posting a 90-percent snap share. He converted his routes into five targets and four catches for 53 yards. A-Rob scored once and another was removed because of a (very) late timeout. There was a clear effort to get him the ball in the red zone, but I’m still concerned that he posted just a 14-percent target share. He has TD upside in a high-powered Rams offense, but I’d just leverage that as you sell him high after a scoring week.
