Fantasy Football TE Rankings Week 11: Who to start, best sleepers at tight end

Fantasy Football TE Rankings Week 11: Who to start, best sleepers at tight end image

It's not the worst week for tight end byes, but at least two regular starters are out and a couple of favorable matchups are off the table. That, combined with several top-tier tight ends having highly favorable matchups, greatly reduces the number of viable streamers and sleepers in our Week 11 fantasy TE rankings for standard leagues.

Often, we recommend playing the matchups with borderline TEs, but this might be the week to just trust the targets and go for a high-floor option. Obviously, it depends on your projection and overall team situation, but either way, this doesn't figure to be a great TE week unless you own one of the top guys.

Now that we know the backdrop, let's break down the TE landscape heading into a pivotal Week 11.

Which TEs are on bye in Week 11?

The Patriots, Colts, Falcons, and Saints are off this week, taking away Kyle Pitts, Jonnu Smith, Taysom Hill, and Hunter Henry as potential starters and streamers. Ultimately, this isn't too bad for fantasy owners, as none have been consistent despite having some high-scoring weeks.

WEEK 11 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | D/STs | Kickers

We also lose one highly favorable TE matchup (Colts), one slightly favorable matchup (Falcons), and two unfavorable matchups (Saints and Patriots).

WEEK 11 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Kickers

Who are the best fantasy TEs in Week 11?

Travis Kelce (vs. Eagles in Week 11), Mark Andrews (vs. Bengals), T.J. Hockenson (@ Broncos), Sam LaPorta (vs. Bears), and Dalton Kincaid (vs. Jets) make up our stacked top five. Not only are all five high-floor, high-ceiling producers, but all have above-average matchups. LaPorta, Andrews, and Hockenson are facing the three teams that entered last week allowing the most fantasy points per game (FPPG) to TEs.

George Kittle (vs. Buccaneers), Cole Kmet (@ Lions), and Trey McBride (@ Texans) are also probably "must-starts." Trey McBride gets a boost in PPR leagues, as do Dalton Schultz (vs. Cardinals) and Evan Engram (vs. Titans).

WEEK 11 FANTASY ADVICE: Sleepers | Busts | Projections | Start-sit

Who are the best fantasy TE sleepers, pickups, & streamers in Week 11?

McBride (@ Texans) might not count as a "sleeper" anymore, but if he's available in your shallow league, now's the time to grab him. The same goes for Luke Musgrave (vs. Chargers), who should see plenty of targets against the league's worst pass defense.

Going a little deeper, Noah Fant (@ Rams), Chig Okonkwo (@ Jaguars), and Michael Mayer (@ Dolphins) all have matchups against defenses that entered last week in the top 10 in FPPG allowed to TEs. All have disappointed this year and showcased very low floors and only modest ceilings, so most owners in 10- and 12-team leagues can do better with TEs who simply see more consistent targets.

WEEK 11 DFS:
DK lineup | FD lineup | Best values | Best stacks

Who are the biggest potential fantasy TE busts in Week 11?

Dalton Schultz (vs. Cardinals), Jake Ferguson (@ Panthers), Logan Thomas (vs. Giants), and David Njoku (vs. Steelers) have all been fairly steady options for fantasy owners over the past month, but all have matchups against defenses that entered last week in the bottom 10 in FPPG allowed to TEs. We'd still start Schultz and Ferguson in most leagues -- and Thomas gets a bump in PPR -- but their floors and ceilings are a little lower than usual.

Similarly, we'd be hesitant to start Pat Freiermuth (@ Browns) if he comes off the IR. He hadn't done much prior to his hamstring injury, and no team allows fewer FPPG to TEs. Tyler Higbee (vs. Seahawks) and whoever starts between Gerald Everett and Donald Parham Jr. (@ Packers) also have below-average matchups.

What are the biggest TE injuries in Week 11?

Dallas Goedert (forearm) is expected to miss Week 11, but Philadelphia doesn't have an obvious TE replacement who will soak up all of his targets. Darren Waller (hamstring) remains on the IR and will be out until at least Week 14.

Gerald Everett (back) exited early last week and failed to return. If he remains out, Donald Parham Jr. and Stone Smartt will split snaps against the Packers.

We'll be updating our standard TE rankings all week, so check back for the latest updates.
