Updated Fantasy Football Superflex Rankings 2023: Top 200 cheat sheet for standard fantasy drafts image

Quarterback isn’t exactly an "afterthought" position in fantasy football the way kicker and even D/ST can be, but with so many solid signal-callers in the NFL, it’s not exactly difficult to find a decent starter. That’s why 2-QB and superflex leagues have become more popular in recent years, but when every owner is gunning for at least two starters and one backup, a "deep" position can turn shallow in a hurry. That’s why our 2023 fantasy Top 200 rankings for standard superflex leagues are so QB-heavy at the top.

The toughest part about superflex leagues is figuring out where the top RBs, WRs, and TEs fit into everything. Nick Chubb, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce are still immensely valuable, but they all take a hit in the rankings compared to where they sit in single-QB leagues.

Make no mistake – QBs will get drafted early and often, likely as early as the No. 1 pick with Patrick Mahomes. Many owners will opt for two quarterbacks in the first three or four rounds. It’s incredibly important to land at least one top-tier QB and another solid one.

DOMINATE YOUR DRAFT: Ultimate 2023 Fantasy Cheat Sheet

In other words, forget the whole "RB-RB" or "RB-WR" drafting strategy you’ve employed for years. To put things in perspective, Josh Jacobs led all non-QBs in standard fantasy points last season (275.3), but he finished just 13th in total fantasy points. Both Jared Goff (290.3) and Tom Brady (280.5) finished ahead of him. All told, 20 QBs, including Kyler Murray (who played just 11 games) and Marcus Mariota, finished with at least 205 fantasy points. Just eight RBs, five WRs, and one TE hit that mark.

2023 STANDARD RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Ks | Top 200 | IDP

Can you survive in a superflex league with two mid-tier quarterbacks? Probably, but with how quickly QBs usually go in superflex drafts, you can’t take anything for granted. You can try to draft some combination of stud RBs, WRs, and TEs in the first three rounds before going QB-QB in the fourth and fifth, but you’re playing with fire.

2023 PPR RANKINGS:
QBs | RBs | WRs | TEs | D/STs | Ks | Top 200 | S-Flex | IDP

Regardless of your superflex strategy, you’re going to be drafting quarterbacks much earlier than you would in single-QB leagues. If you’re in a dedicated 2-QB league, then you really have no choice. At least in a superflex league, you have the option of playing an RB, WR, or TE in your superflex spot if things go south. Still, QBs have higher ceilings and much higher floors, which is why starting two QBs every week is a preferred strategy.

The differences in our PPR and standard superflex rankings are marginal. Simply put, QBs are slightly more valuable in standard because there aren’t as many points to go around. RBs, WRs, and TEs simply can’t score as much in standard formats, but QBs will almost always score the same amount.
